Opinions?
On this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=150319920512 Seller sent me 2 additional pics. Based on these tis okay, yes? It apparently needs servicing, I forgot to ask if it runs at all. Any ideas what a fair price might be? |

I think the watch looks good. I am not sure what a fair price would be. It is listed at $1,500 currently.
May I suggest one in even better condition? http://www.yorktime.com/search?cid=5:sku=328 Terry Newton

This one is going up more than I'd like, a couple of hundred just since I posted. It will undoubtedly jump some at the end of the auction.
I like the one you posted, they also have a nice one at artoftime but neither has a bracelet. Add in the price of a bracelet (and possibly a servicing) and its not much more to just spring for a Rolex sub. I shoulda grabbed one a few years ago. |

That's actually my auction. I am "upoopyface".
This is my auction and the watch is 100%. If you check my feedback you will see I've sold alot of Tudors and have plenty of references. It'a all good. cheers, Michael

Also
The watch runs fine and all the functions work. Any flaws you see are the crystal. I left it untouched as the whole watch is unpolished and original. The dial and hands are flawless, untouched and matching. cheers

Small world, huh? LOL
I love the watch (the hour hand is great) but I think its gonna jump up out of my range. I'm guessing you'll clear $2k pretty easy. Good luck. |

I don't think it will get that high.....I had an
auction for a 16800 MATTE DIAL FULL SET (B & P) that ended 2 nights ago for $4250. I took it in the shorts on that one. I thought it would break 5k. anyway good luck. Whoever bid 1500 bid their max at 1500. There's a $12 gap between it and the last bid 1488. Should be $25. good luck. thks

Err...Congrats to the winning bidder...whoever he may be...!
Err buddy Michael...Orchi is just curious how come you don't want to ship your watches outside of CONUS...? Orchi figures...if you offer your watches to worldwide audience...to ship via FEDEX/UPS/USPS...traceable... you should be safe for along as you receive the fund in your bank account 1st... Also...more bidders would participate in your auctions...which might get you better deserving prices for your watches... On that particular 76100...Orchi could have given the participating bidders... a run for their money...so the higher bids wins...! Also if Orchi may suggest...it won't cost much if you were to select the option in eBay to post your pictures with larger images... This way...bidders are clear about what they can expect from the conditions of the watch... |

Hi Orchi. Actually if you read through my description ..
I welcome international bidders as long as they pay by bankwire. Actually I send around 40% out of the country. cheers

Buddy Michael...normally the header of your listings says...
"SHIP TO: United States"... Hence when Orchi or other potential bidders see that...they would not want to go further to read the fine prints... Orchi trusts...in eBay you should be able to select the shipping option as "WORLDWIDE"...+ the reasonable shipping cost. |

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. I, for some reason, am having ..
a problem making "worldwide shipping" appear. I will call ebay tomorrow and see what I'm doing wrong. thks

Thanks. At the rate things are going I might still have it!...
I've sold 3 watches, a brokedown 7928 and a dial this week. Only 1 buyer has responded to my invoice and NOBODY has paid. I take that back.....ebay got paid! lol

That I do not know. IMHO I wouldn't touch the...
watch (or go swimming with it) as all parts are original, including the crystal. I've had alot of conversations with other Tudor nuts about the "tobacco" stains that tend to come with these vintage watches. Again, IMHO, I prefer to leave the "tobacco" stains on the watch as I believe it adds to the "vintage quality" of the watch. Just like an old faded out bezel insert. That's just me though. thks

Err buddies...the rust stain is normally caused by prolonged moisture...trapped
on the surface of case...where the crystal is fitted on. The ones on the watch seems to be of little concern...as the stains can be fixed without much problem by a competent watchsmith... If left unattended for longer period of time...rust corrosion on that area could eat further into the case... But to a lesser extent...it won't caused water proofing of the watch around the base of crystal to be seriously compromised...as the crystal when fitted correctly...is still very tight...n able to withstand considerable water pressure. For instance...when you take a shower with the watch... or decide to surf the high waves...or go swimming at the beach or in a pool... the watch would hold up to its water proofing property... Unless the wearer decides to dive like a Submarine into the abyss... with a 20 year or more older watch... |

Thanks for the answers Orchi and Motomc1.
I like the look of some bezel/dial fading in vintage watches but the corrosion is a turn off for me. I do have one vintage Tudor sub with a small amount of corrosion that I was considering taking to a watchsmith but nervous about waterproofness. Orchi, I am definitively not going into any dark abyss (at least not below sealevel. ) |

I am sadly too old to partake in robbing trains anymore as I cannot catch up to them on my bicycle.
Nice sale. Terry Newton
