Any office workers wear company branded clothing ?

After nearly 30 years of wearing my own clothing In banking/ financial services (shirt & sometimes tie) - now been issued with company branded dark blue polo shirts. Today’s my first day & feels kind of funny wearing black chinos & dress shoes with the polo

Thinking of going down the black jeans & dark training shoes route as the company are getting more relaxed about the dress code. Definitely wouldn’t mind ditching the shoes that’s for sure

For those of you that dress similar - is there an inbetween? What do guys wear to office where it’s fairly relaxed ??

I work from an office in my home. Sometimes I wear shoes.

I work in and office where men have to wear shirt and trousers but no tie.

This often meant when it was cold in the office for some reason you had to sit in a coat, and often a “smart/semi formal” coat which always felt odd.

Recently the company have made loads of branded fleeces and distributed them out and nearly everyone seems to wear them

To me though it looks really weird. Wearing a shirt and trousers along with a fleece...

I remember when I wore my own clothes... Then I joined the Navy hahaha!

I've seen some corporate folks wear dress slacks/chinos with tucked-in polo-style shirts. It's not a look that I'd go for. Maybe see if they can embroider their company logo on the breast of a button-down shirt? The tucked-in polo "look" seems like something a personal fitness trainer would wear when he's trying to sell you some work out powders. Or, maybe show up in a Hawaiian shirt & say that the new dress code was unclear!

I wore a uniform for many years in my 20 year career. Sometimes it was nice not to have to think about it. Other times I enjoyed assignments that let me wear what I wanted. It appears you have some flexibility in the dark jeans and trainers so experiment and see what you like.

We have a partial dress code and it requires just a certain shirt, but for the most part I kind of dress the same everyday. Casual Friday everyday!!!

uniforms are awesome. I had to wear scrubs every day at the Hospital where i use to work, and it was a non clinical job but i had to go to clinical areas frequently. Loved going to work in my pajamas

My oldest has to wear a school uniform so it makes getting dressed really easy in the morning. So im all in favor

Jeans and/or khakis. Button down oxford or short sleeve polo shirts. No running or athletic shoes.

When I worked in an office, dress code was jeans and a polo or collared shirt. Most people, including myself, wore sneakers.

This is some funny stuff right here.

I still wear a shirt/tie and at least sport coat if not suit every day. Been ditching the tie a little bit as of late, but tough ha it to break. My business partner is pretty old school and she dresses like a million $ every day. Have to change customer expectations slowly.

I'm in mgmt. consulting and wear a suit 4x/week. I like it - but then I'm also old-school this way and like to take care of my appearance (not many 27 year-olds do nowadays...)

Ties a re a bit frowned upon - unless I'm consulting for a bank etc.

We've had instances when clients asked us to come in dressed informally (i.e. jeans and shirt)...

I think people wear it because its free vest... but then everyone started buying veat to look like the cheap guys that get free vest. Lol

I wear branded shirts every day. The company provided a dozen shirts. It’s very convenient to know exactly what I’ll be wearing to work for the coming year.

I was always of the opinion that putting in a bit of thought into what you wear is a sign of self respect. Doesn't have to expensive (can be H&M) - but classy is always good

Now fashion revolves around ostentatious designer brands with big logos. They lack class, however, IMO

I wore a suit most part of the week almost two decades until I sold my business couple years ago. Now jeans and shirt and I love it.

Ha! In our world the vests come from the product/fund wholesalers. And they generally only give them to the people that produce. Maybe it is a status symbol thing as I have seen a few in the office that the more business casual guys wear. I generally just say no thanks as if I am going to wear branded merch it will have my DBA on it.

Dress shoes and polo shirts is a strange mix for me.

I’m almost exclusively leather sneakers and black slim-fit jeans + T-shirt, polo, cashmere jumper depending on the season. No large logos or loud patterns ever. Dress shirt when I’m in head office and usually dress shoes when giving a big presentation back in London etc.

It gets pretty warm here in the summer - over 30C in the office most days but do draw the line at shorts to work, although some people do. Got to stay at least a little professional :)

There has been a definite shift in dress over the last few years though towards the ‘casual smart’ end of office wear.

I’ve been slowly pushing the dress code at my company for the past 2 years and nobody has said anything.

I started off with dress shirts/shoes/slacks, then slowly introduced chinos and sport shirts. Polo shirts came next, and now I’m transitioning from dress shoes to dark leather sneakers.

I’ll wear jeans on Friday and sometimes on Thursday. Feels good.

Us artsy-fartsy types find them emotionally repressive. They look nice, but...

Interestingly suits become a uniform and are generally less interesting and fashionable the higher you climb the power structure.

The world has become more casual for better or worse.

Prob wear scrubs 95% of my time. I rotate blue or gray... simple. Sometimes white lab coat.

At school I was told - dress smart, think smart. Maybe true at that age.

Now I have more of a dress comfy, work efficiently mindset. If I’m literally hot under the collar all day, no way I can give my best to the work at hand.

Certain professional standards need to be met of course in various circumstances, but knowing when to smarten up and when you can be casual helps keep things flexible.
