This thread needs to be in the Jokes and Cartoons section. Hilarious.

I will see if I can post a picture of a VERY RARE "Acne at Three" dial...hmmm...it's here somewhere .... Will have to dig around.

I don't think this watch is marketed to John Q Public who has saved up his money to get the Magnum PI Rolex he always wanted...

This is for the collector who is well heeled and bored.

$14k doesn't mean the same to all persons..so they either buy this or an hour of VIP bottle service at some klub...in other words, it doesn't really matter...

Most original dials and hands do not match. They also age at different rates. Not to mention when the lume is applied on the dial it is done at a different time than the hands.

There’s no need to defend the garbage this guy sells....if he asked 6k and madubsome bullshit name to get laughs....cool....he’s asking over market value. A real excellent fat lady is 10k...he wants 14k for a trash defective, moldy, water stained, disgusting dial and calling it excellent....that’s F.... up. That says a lot for what he sells....good luck if someone pays extra for that trash.. it should be called a seaGMT because there’s been saltwater all over the dial..

Sorry you are barking up the wrong tree. I am not defending anything. I am stating facts. My comments are based on what most sellers are peddling right now. That is matching dials/hands. Which is NOT a common trait.

this is a harsh comment on one of the best Vintage guys out there. Over the years I bought a few watches from Jacek and every time I'm in SF I drop in to check out his inventory. The guys are HQ Milton are very knowledgeable and passionate about vintage watches and I feel that your swipe at them is completely out of place and absolutely not in the character of this forum.

I have to throw the flag on this too.
Jacek is a really cool dude and he sells interesting stuff - and stands behind it. If something isn’t right those guys will fix it.

I went down and met the crew a couple of weeks ago... all great ppl. I suggest one day you do the same. It’s a wonderful shop.

Yep I’ve had good experiences with Jacek as well. Helped me source a 1016 last year (over a couple of months) and was both responsive and helpful in my search. Good communication too. I honestly think you need to appreciate his marketing the pieces with a wink and a nod - I am reminded of the “night sky patina” from a few months back. Listen, if we can throw names around ie; “Batman”, “hulk” and the most recent “sea bee” then I have no problem with Jacek poking fun at us all with his creative and fun names.

Lots of love for HQ Milton in this thread but it would be fascinating to hear from someone who has actually sold them one of these damaged dialed watches...

I don't see any buyer saying "WOW man! You know you have a really rare Martian Soil dial there..."
