My unsolicited personal thought on this: when a market reaches a bubble-like level, as I believe we are currently in with vintage Rolex, buyers become less discriminating -and sellers are quick to accommodate them-. Five years ago this same watch would have been offered at a fraction of the price the OP paid, and it probably would not have had its case recut to make it look more appealing.

I think a very good PCG can cost 45K - 50K USD. But then I would expect a perfect dial, non recut case, Swiss rivet bracelet and cool insert...
