Buying Advice PP 3800

I’ve been a long time PP fan and was given my only Patek as a gift from my great-grandfather, a Calatrava from the 50’s. Truly just holding it for the next generation. It’s time for me to finally buy another one and I need some advice in what to look for. I would like to buy the 3800 Nautilus with the blue ribbed dial. Is there anything I should look out for when buying this watch? I’ve looked for a buyers guide but have not been able to find one. If anyone is an expert I would be interested in talking to them. Thank you for any help.

great watch , imho lovely size ,
expect a hefty price tag .
things to consider
-case condition , over polished pieces are not nice , rather a scratched watch with sharp original edges than a shiny one over polished. An other issue could be the rust , yes Nautilus is Stainless steel but not Rustless:-)steel , in case of rust (you can see only if the bezel removed from the case)PP won t guarantee waterproofness anymore , a new case at least 15grand.
-service history , if missing expect a grand or two for the first service(mvmnt and gaskets)
-bracelet condition , a new bracelet around 5k.
-papers , watch +Certificate of origin › watch+Extract› watch no papers
-box is an added bonus .

great watch, enjoy the hunt !

3800 is smaller size nautilus and if you don’t have big wrist it will be perfect t in my opinion.

Agreed that the current market price is very high and it will be challenging to find one with reasonable price.

Hi, anyone with a pp3800 care to share a wrist shot and indicate your wrist size?

It seems a good value purchase. Thanks!
