That was epic! I'm shocked at who survived and who did not. That fight scene made Braveheart look like nothing.

Yeah, that was so intense. It was basically a movie. Nothing like it I that can recall. How do they write this stuff?

Anyone else have issues with how dark the sets were? I had to up the brightness on my screen during the re-watch. Didn’t help too much.

It was dark but nothing out of the ordinary these days. A properly calibrated tv is required for best viewing however.

I have a feeling it's going to be two more boring episodes back to back to setup the inevitable final show with the coronation of the winner/ruler. It's not like they can just have the final show be about all conflicts being settled and everyone at peace. It's all coming down to the last episode.

Blown away! There is a wide range of reactions to last night's episode, but if you're watching as a fan and not a critic, there is no way you will not appreciate this masterpiece.

Let's have Spoilers now -
Was an incredible episode, they really cranked up the pressure and made it look like the Night was going to win... I didn't think the Night King would die this early and that the A team would all have to retreat south to fight another day, but once that was not going to happen and they all looked like they were going to get massacred then I knew he had to be killed at the end. I thought Bran was going to brandish a dagger but it turns out it was Arya, I forgot he gave it to her, and GRRM had this destiny for right from the start with stick em with the pointy end, and her kill list which was all just practice for her real kill. And Dondarion was brought back 6 times from the dead for a reason, to save Arya so she could kill the NK. GRRM had indeed thought this all out years ago. |

either I've outgrown the show or that was actually terrible. First off it's so dark that I wonder if they ran out of CGI budget. without mentioning the outcome of the battle... the tactics employed were worse than what I'd expect from a bright 12 year old child
I'm willing to suspend my disbelief, but the world of this show isn't even internally consistent |

I see your point and understand, but honestly, that is how military battle is, and yes, I speak from experience. It doesn’t matter who you are, how many people love or hate you, how much you have accomplished in your life, in battle, it (and your life) can all be over in an instant. War is not discriminatory nor caring, you die and that’s it. I kind of think that is what this episode was representing. Just MHO

I think one of the reasons for the darkness, as frustrating as it may have been, was to bring the viewer to the same place as the characters. The dead brought with them darkness and battling them in the dark was obviously part of the challenge.
Nevertheless it was an epic episode, one for the ages. I personally need to see it again. Tremendous production. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I loved the darkness.
I though the episode was pure art. And definitely grabbed the viewer and brought us in. On many levels. I can’t wait to watch it again.
