I understand but do you really think that’s what they were going for or instead speed up the episode to ramp up the season in 6 episodes.

Now it all comes clear...why didn’t I see it coming???

These conspirators

Stole all the 904 and replaced it with Valyrian steel - then cleverly hid it years ago...

And now that he’s all exploded like the Big Bang we should all see more SS Professional models in the coming months.

It wasn’t the grey dealers after all...

It was dark, but then it was a night shoot, 55 days in a row which is a record, and the DOP was going for the realistic, confusing, claustrophobic heat of battle look, they did the same with the Battle of the Bastards, but as that was daylight it was easier to view.

Melisandre's prophesy of Arya has bourne out, the Valonquar prophesy for Cersei will also bear out... and I think it will be Jaime.

It was really stupid and a waste of that production cost. Could have just CGI'd the whole thing since no one could see anyway.

I wouldn't mind that, but be careful, she's gone now and if you want any proof of Melisandre fallibility you need only ask Stannis Baratheon... If you do hold true to Melisandre's prophecy though, Cersei has green eye's so if the Red-woman is in fact correct then it will be Arya again!

Arya got a bigger gig than anyone expected so I think she is pretty much done now or this becomes the Arya Show if she takes out the two big villains. Cersei will be dispatched by one of her brothers I think, this has been the biggest predicted thing since Jon and Rhaegar so I'd be very surprised if not as it is a Maggy prophesy and she bats 1000, and then the question becomes what are Jon and Dany going to do now, they probably won't kill anyone of any major substance now... unless each other.

I watched it again last night.

Even a second time I find it so incredibly suspenseful. What a show. So impressive.

It was drawn out to much and low on story. The entire episode can be summed up in very few words. The visual darkness of it was annoying. To many of the “heros” survived. An unrealistic number of the key cast members lived compared to the numbers of dead.

Which just means they are about to start dropping like flies. Typical for GOT to get us when we aren't expecting it.

Weddings and celebrations have a history on GOT. The episode 4 trailer showed everyone nice and happy in Winterfell celebrating the big win. Surely, someone dies.

Lmao.

It’s gojng to be gut wrenching.

I’m still reeling from Ned Stark dying. And I read the book when it was first released in hard cover. So that was circa 20 years ago.

Pretty rare the event lives up to the hype, but that was one of the greatest pieces of entertainment ever for me. LOL, I did call the ending. She is like NEO, she is the ONE! One of my favorite characters of any show. Awesome stuff.

The flying banshee scream was classic.

She's my new favorite, since Jon Snow has turned out to be a Targaryen politician. I'm still rooting for his 1/2 Stark warrior to take the thrown but if not him then Arya would be my second. Since my wishes never come to fruition in these stories especially the ones written by blood thirsty sadists, yes I'm talking to you R.R. Martin...

That means much to my chagrin either Cersei or Sansa ends up on the Iron thrown. Those are my predictions. Too many have to die for it to be Arya, but I could live with it to see it, and she's never wanted it, right from the beginning so it would be poetic in a way, for the same reason we all want it to be her brother, he doesn't want it either. But RR is messing with us, it can never be Jon, too neat and tidy if it's Jon.

Kit Harrigton on Yahoo entertainment:

“One of my favorite episodes is 4 because the characters have seemingly got what they needed,” Harington says of the roughly 20 main characters still gathered at Winterfell. “The world is safe now. They’re celebrating and saying goodbye to lost friends. But as an audience you’re going, ‘This is only episode 4, something’s going to happen.’ And that’s the cool thing because I think the characters are aware of this as well. There’s something twisted and uncomfortable about it. It’s so Shakespearian.”

Well, since there are only 3 episodes left you are likely correct.

Remember last 2 seasons completely written buy HBO show runners and not George R R Martin the writer who threw all those curve balls.

I see Cersi getting in the end and that also would mean the Mountain will crumble as well. The only deaths I would be surprised by would be John, Arya, and the Dragon Queen....so of course all will then most assuredly die.

Word on the street is Episode 5 is the biggest, baddest, best, saddest, most intriguing, etc this season.

The show runners, BTW I hate that term, makes these producers/creators sound like gaff's or messengers, they aren't waiting for RR's pages that's true, but they've been having discussions about direction and plot all along with RR Martin. There have been conflicting stories about to what degree HBO is on their own, but this is still Martin's story, and he's still on board, curveballs and all, even with the creative license HBO has taken.

Martin is a giant bag of tools that lost this story years ago.

He started off exceptionally well. But completely blew it after the first few books.

He should be thanking all the writing gods above for HBO.

Great stuff. When I say the one I do not necessarily mean the iron throne. She has never expressed interest in that. I do think she will kill Cersei and a few others along the way. Although it would be fine with me if she ends up Queen. For a long time I thought Jon would end up king but that was before I knew who he really was...seems too predictable now. I do not have a feeling for who will end up on the throne at the end. Hopeful the rest of the episodes are similar to E3!

Thanks Brother. It really is awesome. Have not been this excited about TV/Movie in a long time. Typically we DVR a whole season and binge watch. We are watching these live if we are home.

I thought it made them sound like people who ran the show...but what do I know?

Either way I'm watching.
