One-Off "Factory" Rolexes

These pieces always fascinated me, so thought it'd make a good thread to see all of the one of a kind factory watches out there. Seems the middle east has the upper hand on these requests.

I'll kick it off with this Sultan of Oman piece.

Mayer's one-off daytonas qualify for sure.

Is the only identifying mark the inscribed caseback?

Seems to be the case, but when done by the factory I think it qualifies.

Nice watch, but certainly wouldn't be a one-off in my book. I've seen these setups in both white Rolesor and full blown White Gold from the factory. The closest thing imo to a one-off in 2019 is the Day Date TEM and similar variations that are $300k+

Great idea for a thread though

Agreed, just want to see photos of them out there so squeezed in this one to kick it off

No small feat though to have Rolex engrave your logo on the watch and stamp it on the packaging and card.

it would be cool for Rolex to do a set of championship watches for a sports team.

something other than those gaudy, played out championship rings

Absolutely, still very cool to have Rolex do that for you I agree. I'd still take your beautiful open-worked Royal Oak over it any day though

So a 1992 Daytona 24 Hour Winner doesnt make the list? hehe

Scott Pruett has a nice collection of real Daytona 24 Hour Winner watches including a real 1992 winners watch for winning in the GTP class.

That cat must have quite the collection, especially since it seems his pieces only get out there from trades.

I always wonder how these peices end up on th market, it's not like they need to sell them to raise money. Or they hand it out as gifts and sometimes a lesser to do friend of the family flips them?

I believe they are handed as gifts to government officials and diplomats visiting the country and I can imagine some end up not using them and selling them.
And honestly feels good to have a piece with something special even if it's only on the caseback.

I had the opportunity to buy a Sea King 116710LN for £10k about a year ago. Probably should have pulled the trigger on that one but funds weren't readily available at the time due to a house move. Now a "normal" 116710LN is selling for £7.5k it seems like an even better proposition.

Here's a similar watch from the same batch.
