Went to the RSC Jakarta this morning.....Told the lady there, I would like to have a very light and quick polish for my lug (I told her that my Hulk hit the wall before)....and I told her that I dont want the warranty to be voided.....

Then the watchmaker from the back responded, it's ok, I do some quick polishing....just wait a few minutes.....

And 10 minutes later......as good as new.....

And it's all free of charge....

Really happy with the response from RSC Jakarta.....

You can probably ask the same question of ten different RSC employees and get five different answers. I’ve owned dozens of Rolex’s since my first in 1986 and been down this rabbit hole more times than I can remember. The opinion of one watchmaker who works in a global watch empire that sells around 1m pieces a year doesn’t make it so. I have firsthand experience, and now the OP does as well. I would expect nothing less than someone who makes a living fixing watches at an RSC than to tell you that they have to work on it exclusively, and remove the movement and service the watch in order to polish it, nor would I begrudge them for it. I’m sure in many cases it’s absolutely necessary, but obviously it’s a subjective point.

Well apparently RSC throughout the world make up their own rules. Probably not how Geneva HQ intended it to be.

Would be handy if they just rolled out a new policy of polishing for a set price, and make it world wide. Different rules everywhere is not good.
