Rolex 6605 Help!
Hi, I purchased a Rolex Datejust from a friend of a friend about a year ago. After about two days of wearing it, the hands were getting stuck. I brought it to my certified Rolex guy and he serviced the watch but told me that it has replacement hands, dial, and band. It is a Rolex 6605 SN: 242XXX. Looking at the charts it shows it should be a 1945 Rolex Datejust. I was told the reason the hands were getting stuck underneath each other and the date was getting stuck was because of the dial and hands being improper as well as broken dial legs. So my questions are as follows: Does this sound to be correct? I do like the diamond dial look, is there a place I can find a dial to fit this? When I look online I cannot find any other ref #'s that will also fit a 6605. Where can I find parts that are interchangeable with a 6605? And if anyone has any information about this particular 6605 ref number any information would be appreciated! Thanks so much. Picture is of the Rolex!

I'm not a authority on the 6605 but it's a wonderful watch: I have one in steel and one in 18K. I don't think 1945 is correct, this is post-bubbleback. The earlier DateJust watches were bubblebacks, like the 6075, the 6105, and the 6305. I've never seen any of the earlier DateJust models as having factory diamond dials. Your picture didn't post, by way, I think you need a certain minimum of posts before you can put up a photo.
