16760a

What is a 16760A. I have a GMT II with a booklet referring to this reference.
I've never seen that number mentioned on line.

Reference to the Coke bezel aka Fat Lady. I wasn’t aware it was referred to the A (designation of Coke bezel). It’s been out of production since 1988, similar to 16700/16710 but has a slightly thicker case to accommodate the 3085 movement, where as 16700 had the 3175 & 16710 had the 3185 of that era.

The GMTs were all just labelled A until the late 90s. Then they were labelled according to their insert color. A for Coke, B for Pepsi and N for Black.

You see some confusion because of the sudden obsession with 16710s "born" as Pepsis so people seek out 16710Bs, but this didn't show up on warranty papers until 98/99.

The Fat Lady, a beauty. Only came with the black and red insert. Watch that space.

16760A or 16760A30 is the model number for the first generation GMT II.

The A has nothing to do with the bezel color.

Below is a warranty paper sleeve for the 16760. The B9315 indicates the bracelet style found on this particular watch which would have been an Oyster 93150.

As it should be; they didn't come any other way.
