126710 blnr bracelet swap
Hello everyone !
Im new to this forum , im from Argentina , hope to learn a lot here. Im starting this thread since i cant find an answer anywhere. My all time grail watch is the 116710 BLNR Like you already know , it has been discontinued , so starting to look into what options do i have if i want to get one. I know that it is possible , to replace the bracelet of the SS PEPSI GMT , ref 126710BLRO , for an oyster one , and want to know if this can be done too , with the new BATMAN , the 12710 BLNR. I would appreciate a lot any help or information i can get on this matter. Thanks in advance and hope someone can help me! |

Lugs are smaller so the oyster bracelet will not fit the newer version.

I think there's a thread on here somewhere in which a member showed the BLRO,BLNR, and I believe a green ceramic Sub with different bracelets and it came down to which spring bars one had to use. Not sure whether it was the new or old BLNR though. Happy searching!

BLRO works with sub bracelet - another member posted on here (his pic below)
Since 126710 BLNR exact same, it would work on BLNR. Not sure if different spring bars need to be used, but the bracelet will work. Only watches you cannot do this with are those with Oysterflex like the Daytona, which is a shame. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

But are you sure it is 1000% the same watch ? Some people on watch forums claiming they changed the locations of the lug holes , to prevent people from doing this.

The bracelet fits fine. The only difference between the watch cases is in the springbar holes -- different size and slightly different location. The springbars you need depend which "direction" the swap is going. There was a comprehensive thread about it a few months ago.
*edit* Ah, here's the thread, on WUS. |

Great thing about the older BLNR. Oyster with pcls or superjubilee no problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I know you can do it on the pepsi blro , but i dont know if i can do it on the blnr , some people on the rolex facebook forum are telling me that it has different lug holes LOCATION so that you can put an oyster on it , so different opinions , when it should be a yes or no answer , so confused hahahaha , dont know what to do since i only want to buy the watch if i can put an oyster on it

Yes !
You can, just be sure to use the jubilee spring bars. How are you liking it so far ? Mine is coming in the next 2 months and i dont know if i should keep it and buy an oyster bracelet or trade it in for a new 116710. But i loce being the first and only one to be in contact with the watch, and that wouldnt be possible if i trade it in , since it would have to be through a gray market ad |

It sounds to me that you just need the correct spring bars that go with the bracelet that you choose. Be it jubilee, oyster or sub..

So I actually went to RSC to see if they’d sell me an oyster for my BLNR Jubilee. No dice.
Where are you guys sourcing the oyster to swap out? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

If you own a Submariner your AD should be able to source one using the serial number from your watch, or come up with another creative workaround.

Here at my local RSC (Latin America ) they dont have a problem selling me one. Only downside it is that i think it is 2k. Although, they technically shouldnt sell it as spare part i think. i guess it depends on who do you talk to. An AD i bought a few watches from in Spain also told me he cant sell me one. I am now debating if i should get the pcl oyster that the og batman had , or if i should buy the oyster that the sub has with micro adjustments and brushed links. I like it more , but it kinda is weird since rolex didnt make it that way

I wonder if the oyster from a DJ41 would work.

Apart from the Jubilee bracelet and the 32 series movement they are the same watch, but spring-bars are slightly different with the Jubilee fit, over the Oyster fit.
