Way to check Rolex serial number?

Hey,

I am driving myself nuts trying to confirm my Rolex milgauss is real. There is no Rolex dealer here. Is there anyway to check the serial number with Rolex?

Do you want to authenticate the watch, or the serial number?

Rolex will only check your serial number if you get it serviced at a Rolex Service Centre. You can put up some photos of your watch here in the "Watchout" section if you want to get it checked out by other members.

Why do you have doubts? Circumstances of purchase?

Not entirely true. I went in for a bezel insert change at an RSC and since I’d just gotten the watch the guy did a quick lookup to see that everything matched. I appreciate, though, that this isn’t a service you can buy but rather down to the individual handling your case.
Hope you manage to work it out.

Well expect you have already bought your watch so a bit late to check if your watch is real.If you bought from a reliable source you have nothing to worry about. And the serial dont always prove authenticity, as many serials show up on the net in watch sales for say a Milgauss, the only sure way is get the case-back off .

Who did you buy it from?
Did it come with box and papers?

Down to terminology, I suppose. I don’t see a bezel insert replacement as having the watch serviced - the difference is 3 weeks and about £800. But if you’re saying get an RSC to do any kind of work on your watch then fair enough.

Honestly, I bought it from jomashop so I presume it is real. It also keeps amazing time (-1 during day, plus 1 if left beside bed for a total of zero variation in a 25 hour period.) so it isn’t some Chinese garbage movement . But I can’t find the coronet despite all my efforts (light tricks, 10-60x loupes) etc. it’s a non Gv Milgauss so in theory it should have one. I have no box or papers. I am hesitant to open it but I might.

I thought purchases from Jomashop came with the box and documentation. The only thing is that they come with Jomashop warranty instead of Rolex.

If you're curious about the authenticity of the watch, you should take it to a local watchmaker. They should be able to confirm that there aren't any issues with it.

Good luck

Jomashop - not always with box and papers.

Post some pics...let's go...otherwise, the experts here can't help.

Jomashop is a legitimate Grey Market Business and is not known to deal in counterfeit goods.

Looks spot on to me

Rolex should take note of these reflections on the black dial. It looks awesome

Ps in future buy the seller with research and it’s pretty easy to authentic a watch. With 5 mins and some patience you can tell when the spacing and fonts are off in general. Although there are lots of minor dial tweaks.

Give aways are alignments with the crown and 11 and 5, plus the thickness and consistency of the gold surrounds on the lume plots. Look for that first then check things like the laser etched crystal

Vintage is a whole different game

They will not perform any work (aka service) on your watch without verifying the serial.

Only RSC will let you know if it's legitimate (according to the few ADs I have a relationship with).
If it's not authentic, Rolex keeps the watch.

Doesn't look like a fake to me though. Enjoy that beauty!
