Buying your first Rolex today

If you were to start over and buy your first ever Rolex today, which one would it be and why? Pictures are a bonus

That was my first, and I would do it again. It’s just a great watch.

My favorite Rolex I've owned is the SD43. It wasn't around when I started collecting so I likely would have purchased the one I originally purchased, which was a 5-digit Sub. If there's one watch I regret not purchasing, that would be the 16610LV when I had the chance to pick one up for $5k back in '06. Stoopid!

Either a 114060 or 116610, because I’m assuming that we’re talking about watches that would currently be in production.

I love subs, and I think if I only had to have one, I’d lean towards the SubC Date. Bonus is that I own this beautiful model today.

Same here. He actually wore a 1675, but I'd take any Pepsi GMT.

Assuming I could afford it, this, because it combines my three favorite things: the Sub, white gold, and blue.

Is it not a 26k watch?

In regards to the post; If I were starting over I'd probably go for a 116613LB this time around. I went with the 116713 because I thought the blue would be too loud for every day wear. 8 months later with my 116713 and I love it, but I've grown to realize that the 116613LB wouldn't make a difference.

That was my first one and I would do it again! I would add the fact Chuck Yeager wore one added to my desire along with Magnum.
