Supply improving?
Is it me or does it seem that there are a lot more “incoming” posts popping up for the more difficult stainless watches and people indicating their watches coming from their AD faster than expected?
Maybe the tide is turning back to favor the end-users. Possibly just wishful thinking, but would like to hear from others who notice this. |

end of the month, that's all, every month end we see plenty incoming and it looks like Rolex ship models in batches, so this month it was BLRO, expect less BLRO in the months to come.

When I was purchasing my Explorer 2 on Saturday I asked about supplies. He said every dealer is given an allocation at the beginning of the year and so far they have been getting what Rolex allocated. However he said special orders outside of a particular jewelers said allocation for the year is extremely dicey. So it appears the AD knows exactly what they will be getting over the course of 12 months or so around January of each year.

All the predictions and “it’s a unsustainable market” threads are meaningless as these market experts and prediction threads have been going of for years now. They would’ve been fired years ago if these were your investment brokers. |

Was in a local AD yesterday and their case was almost empty except for a bunch of women’s references and some smaller OP’s. They did have two smooth bezel datejusts though.

Supply improving?
Maybe the same amount supply is arriving but “people on a list” are declining and therefore it’s becoming more available to members here?
I seen some dealers put some models items in the case I would believe they first tried to reach “list” people and after everyone passed they put it on the case. |

Display cases are extremely dry around here, with the “wave” inserts being used to kill the significant amount of dead space. I notice a big difference compared to earlier this year. Back then, you would see DJ 36’s and OP39’s in the case, but no more.
If supply is indeed improving, those pieces aren’t hitting the display case. May be the new normal from now on. The two pieces I purchased this year came straight from the coffin. If you want something even halfway desirable, you’ll need to have the understanding ear of an AD and be prepared to wait... |

The first one, a BLNR, was. The second was my BLRO I’d been waiting on. I’ve never heard my dealer say they stop getting shipments regularly (except for holiday weeks I’m sure, and they told me last week HQ in New York was doing inventory so no shipments. )

Ya more data probably needed. Can anyone chime in: Are more members in high traffic markets (with modest to less purchase and Ad relationship history) finding a sudden uptick and multiple offerings? Has anyone walked in and seen a sub or popular steel model in a case? Are folks in very especially dry stock areas where they previously been told 5 year waitlist for a black submariner suddenly being called and offered subs and gmts? |

I feel like every couple of weeks/months someone says it seems like supply is improving but never actually does.

I have visited 3 ADs in the past few days and all had sparse cabinets with the watches spaced out to make it appear like they had more stock.
All of them said supply from Rolex is the same but demand is still very strong. |
