This weekend's travel buddies

Packing for our weekend trip to Montreal / Quebec City this Friday (which can't come soon enough), and I think I'll be bringing these two guys along.

Pretty sure they'll handle the frigid temps just fine. My Florida wife, on the other hand...

For those based in Montreal or Quebec City, we plan on hitting up Monarque, Dinette Triple Crown for some fried chicken, Barroco, Chez Muffy and Le Lapin Saute. Let me know your thoughts!

It's chilly here today, 3C/38F but going to get way warmer, like 40F haha! Note, first light snow of the year predicted for overnight tonight but if it comes it should melt off.

Good restaurant picks, you'll be fine.

Thanks! We actually want to see some snow...we're coming from icy 80 degree weather over here!

Quick note dinette triple crown is a very small place with limited seating. Usually in the summer they provide baskets that you can eat in a park across the street. Not sure how it works during the colder months

That's a solid two-watch combo. Montreal is in the same time zone as Florida, which would negate the need to bring a GMT, but who could leave that iced Pepsi at home?! Enjoy your trip. The only time I went to Montreal was for the F1 GP in the spring of '10. It was a nice drive up from NYC with my father.

The blue Tudor and Reverso are among my favourites, very nice. Also pretty interesting how the color of that Day-Date can look different in pictures. From very bright to more darker colors. How do you like the everosegold and why did you chose that over white- or yellow gold?

Thank you! The snowflake is the newest of the bunch, and I can't decide if I like it better on the bracelet or the Veblenist strap I bought. Either way, it kills. The DD40 is my first gold watch, so I wanted something completely different from steel (thus, not white gold).

I went RG instead of YG because 1.) the YG was VERY loud on my skin tone 2.) the RG has better dial options (chocolate, olive) and 3.) RG just looks more modern. No regrets whatsoever and yes, depending on lighting, the gold RG can look quite different in pictures.

Can't travel the world scared; plus, I bought these watches to enjoy and create memories in, so definitely bringing them along to safe locales

I'm the same way. Use to travel with more than one watch but now only with the one I'm wearing. It became burdensome to me worry about the one I wasn't wearing getting stolen and traveling with one in my carry on. Wasn't a scared thing, just became too much to think about.

Bring your coats its cold here now. I would also recommend Modavie in the Old Port
