126710 BLRO on Datejust 72600 bracelet

About 8 months ago I was lucky enough to get a Rolex Ceramic Pepsi 126710. Straight away I didn't like the jubilee bracelet so I put a WTT thread on here to see if anyone fancied a swap Jubilee for Oyster. I didn't get anywhere with that and sold it on.

More recently I got another opportunity to get a Pepsi and a Hulk so figured I could swap the bracelets as suited me so went for the pair. Thing is the Hulk was unworn so really put me off messing with bracelet swaps. Last week I was offered a Datejust oyster bracelet (72600) and after a bit of checking found it would fit the Pepsi if you used the original spring bars from the Pepsi. The bracelet arrived today and fitted a treat, granted the curve of the end link doesn't quite have the same profile as the lugs but its good enough. The only other slight thing is the clasp of the DJ is not as good as the GMT's so I swapped them, now the link at the top is actually a jubilee attached to an oyster but when worn, again it isn't really noticeable.

Overall I am very impressed and in honesty, as much as the jubilee has grown on me over the past 2 months I absolutely love it on the oyster looks so it will likely stay exactly this way. Hence also the reason my Hulk is for sale.

I like the oyster better. The jubilee looks too busy with the watch. If I had to choose I would go oyster also. Looks great. :)

If it was fully brushed oyster, I'd agree, it would look better on the gmt. But given the option between a gmt on jubilee or pcl oyster, I'd go jubilee.

Nope. Jubilee is THE GMT look in my eyes. It is fun to play around with different looks but I firmly believe Rolex got it right with the 126710 on Jubilee.

That is awesome. I will try to source out the 72600 bracelet to my 126710 as well. Thank you.

Ginault offers an oyster bracelet with Glidelock for 250$ USD.

It’s not a perfect fit but it’s pretty damn good.

That said, I thought I’d like the oyster more on the Pepsi but the jubilee just works better so I switched back.

Glad you like it op!

I personally love the combo with the Jubilee bracelet. Separates it aesthetically from it’s sibling the Submariner.

The jubilee on the blro grew on me and I wouldn’t have it any other way. But nice work OP.

I’m with those who prefer the jubilee on the GMT. I agree that Rolex got it right. But, as with all things Rolex, it’s a matter of preference.

I never understood the love for a jubilee on a GMT. I think it looks better on a dressier piece like my 36mm Datejust.

Both Jubilee and Oyster bracelet look good on gorgeous GMT.
