Thankful, this holiday week, for AD calls :)

Not one of the watches folks here rave about or praise (especially since its not the “polar”), but I’m absolutely loving it. I expected it to wear much bigger than my sub and GMT, but alas the slimmer lugs and bezel make it very sleek and elegantly functional for both dress and casual settings.

I opted for the black dial, true to the original ref. 1655 (and a bit of a sleeper in today’s market).

Congratulations! Looks awesome. I too was wanting a Polar. My AD said they had a black dial in the safe I could try on to see the fit. I liked it so much I decided not to wait on the Polar and bought it. Enjoy your new watch and the holidays.

I prefer the black dial because of how the hands appear to "float" due to their black base at the centre.

Looks great. That one is one of the few SS I'd likely leave with, if offered to me. Last time I tried one on the cases were full of every SS imaginable, probably 2011?

Big congratulations. I think that is the best watch Rolex makes! You can anything with that watch on your wrist and it will never miss a beat.
