1978 Submariner 1680

Howdy all,

Below is my vintage piece gifted to me by my father for graduation. Years ago he had the Acrylic replaced with a custom made replacement sans cyclops window. Im wanting to get this watch back to as close to original as possible, how should I go about trying to get the correct lens for this watch, and how much should I expect to pay?

For starters don't send it to RSC.

Use a well established specialist in vintage Rolex.

When was it last serviced?

I believe the last service was back in 2016 or 17, it's been awhile either way.

You will need a Rolex Tropic 127. Below are photos of a correct original crystal. (The later replacement crystals had a much larger chamfer or facet at the top of the crystal.) I have a few NOS original ones if you still need one - send me a private message.
