I recently used it when I bought a new on and used the coffin to take my old watch home. AD was out of boxes but getting a delivery this week.

The plastic box and Styrofoam are really items that should be trashed by the AD. Having them in no way makes a watch complete. They are totally generic with no link, i.e.. serial # to a particular watch and are frankly very cheap packaging materials. I would not want my watch near Styrofoam.

Not true. Many ADs have stickers with QR codes, model and serial numbers on the boxes.

As others have mentioned, they are great for shipping and storing watches while not in use.

i keep my watches in them. I duct tape the box to my wrist with different color rolls of tape I buy online. I can then coordinate colored tape with different outfits and the boxes keep my investmests safe and scratch free. The DOW Jones is for suckers.

It's good to put the watch in when you store in safety deposit box

I store the watches that I don’t wear in the coffin. Easy to stack and tell which watch is in it. Much more useful and compact than the big green boxes.

Why? Why should a dealer take your property and trash it? If you don't want yours, then you trash and leave the rest of us to do with it as we please.

I don't consider this box to be part of the full set, in the sense that the warranty card and the white hang tag are, but it is nice to have, or not, according to YOUR choice.

Do you think the value of Rolex coffins is only going to go up during the next few years?

Should I put them in a safe or use them to protect my watches, not even looking at them let alone touching them.
