A crown for every achievement

Yesterday my oldest son graduated from the Fire Academy.

I can't tell you how proud my wife and I are of what he's done and the career he's chosen.

As with his brother, to commemorate the occasion the "vault" was opened and he made his choice. I'm a watch poorer and as happy as I can be.

This was his choice,

A bad wrist shot right after graduation,

That great! Very cool gift and good to see he will serve the public, you should be proud. Now, will he wear his new Rolex into burning buildings? It will serve him well.

That's awesome mike you must be so proud

I really like the way you say "the vault was opened" very special.

Best wishes to your son on his graduation and his community minded career

Mike I know you have to be proud of your son's accomplishment. It takes a special person to be a civil servant and spend his life in the service of others!!!

but he chose the wrong sub! Should've been the 1680 red sub!

Big congrats Mike! You've succeeded! You brought him up well.

Congrats Mike, my younger brother is in the same profession down here in Florida.

Here's a shot of him working on a garbage truck that dumped it burning load on the middle of I-75 in SW Florida.

Jim, he'll be with Newark. Columbus I think is his goal, but with the budget problems they're having (as well as other big cities) there are no Police or Fire classes slated for 09.

I think that's still in his mind.

Thanks guys for the wonderful comments.

My wife and I have been truely blessed. In addition to "our" fireman we have a younger son that's an officer in the Army and a daughter that's an RN.

We have so much to be thankful for.
