I'd sell it outright if I didn't want to keep it any more, then buy what I wanted.

Not a Daytona fan myself so I too would vote to sell the Daytona and hold off for the GMT. Pocket the rest. But if you like the Daytona, just keep it.

Trading a Daytona for a batman? To be honest I wouldn’t do it even without the cash add-on

A white dial Daytona, I’d keep. But much prefer the Pepsi to a black dial Daytona C.

Same here. Not a fan of the blue/black bezel.

Do you want a chronograph or a GMT watch?

If you actually like the Daytona, I would be patient and not make the trade. The BLNR is not going anywhere. In fact, they appear to be getting easier to get (based on softening secondary market values).

Do you want a chrono function or a GMT function with date?

The Daytona has small sub dials (too small for me to read easily) and no date function. I imagine that many people buy it for it's classic and beautiful styling rather than its functionality. This being the case, and given what ridiculous prices they are fetching, I would hang onto the Daytona very tightly.

If on the other hand, you want multiple time zones and a date function, the Daytona is not for you. But as has already been posted, you'll get your pants pulled down on the deal you have been offered. You could make twice the profit after getting your BLNR. And if your name is near or at the top of your AD's BLNR list, just wait.

Why not try to swing it so that you can own both? That would be a very nice little collection.

You‘re being low balled....I would keep the Daytona.

The way I see it ... current market for the black Daytona is 22K
The Batman on jubilee is 15K
Cash to you 5K

You are losing 2K for sure based on current market values....

If you don’t like the Daytona, this is a easier decision. Life is too short to wear an expensive watch you don’t love. Follow your heart even though I, and others, are all saying to keep the Daytona.

Make the decision on what watch you enjoy wearing irrespective of $$$. Keeping a watch in a safe just because it is hyped and scarce is nonsensical especially when it is in fact a mass produced item. I had 3 Daytonas over the years, never liked them, and ended up trading for PM that I enjoy much more.
