Women!

We have four females and two males in our household and we used to fight over bathrooms in the morning. My solution was to add a full bath in the basement and that one was to be 100% MINE. A couple months ago my two youngest, Sydney and Hope, started using the basement bathroom for their morning showers. I have noticed that I have to clean the tub/shower every week because of shampoo and conditioner yuck? I found out why this morning. I got up late and noticed that my olderst daughter Ashley has been using the basement bathroom in the morning for her shower. So that means four are using one bathroom and the wife and son have three bathrooms upstairs to pick and choose from.

I think I am in the middle of a bathroom coup d’état.

I do have an outside shower with hot and cold water so I will start to use that in the summer.

We don't have a bathroom problem because 4 of us take our baths in the evening. Dave has his choice of 3 bathrooms in the morning. And because we run out of hot water after filling one tub, all 3 girls get the same bathwater. Just like Little House on the Prairie, no?

We even have a 4th bath in the basement, but it's currently used for paint can and dead bug storage. Nice to know that it's there if I ever do decide to padlock the basement door to keep Dave from getting into the upper level.

A couple of years ago Ashley went over to the next door neighbours house to play with a freind and noticed a padlock on the basement door. Seems the step-mother had a few screws lose and locked herself in the basement for a week. She even took all the pots, pans, utensils, and food. The neighbour's girls ate at our house for a week. I did my usual and did not ask any questions since the kids were not being physically abused. Now mental abuse is another story. Life can be a lot like Payton Place.

We have three full baths in the house with two hot water heaters. So far, I am OK but I am sure down the road when my girls get bigger I'll hear the fights start!

Or in my case, no one to make their next husband look so good.

What's funny is that I gave that idea some thought and you just might be right.

Lisa, every home needs dead bug storage. In our house, it tends to be under my daughter's bed - much to her horror!

Here is my pride and joy. During the summer and especially during a thunderstorm where the rain is cold, I put on my bathing suit and take a nice hot shower outside.

Hmmm.... I'd consider that here, but the space is already taken up with mouse poop storage.

I'm wondering if the dead bugs under the bed got that way from consuming the mouse poop?

At one time it was 4 against 4 in my house. Now the boys out number the girls but the girls "still win"

One bathroom in my house. We only have one rule, if Dad (me) has to go, get out fast or stay in the shower.

Great.... as if the poop itself wasn't bad enough.... He was a bold little mouse, too - didn't worry too much about hiding from us. And he was all by himself, because after we caught him and let him go at the park there was no more poop!

That's exactly what we need on those summer evenings when the kids must be hosed down from playing outside. Uh, I assume that's on the back of your house?

It's an outside faucet that gives you hot or cold water. And it is nifty! But I decided to be immature about it.
