Buying Jewelry at the AD While Waiting...

So After making many visits to my four closest ADs over the last few months, I think I've got a SAs at two of them seemingly willing to call me about a BLNR or a SS sub.

The first AD is only a few miles away and said he'll give me priority because I'm local and that I should keep coming by because "Rolex likes that." But he said it should be about a 6-9 month wait.

The second AD is with the same company as the first, and the last time I was in (last week) said to call him in a month if he hasn't called me about the BLNR or No Date sub I asked about.

Anyway, my question is - should I keep dropping in at either of these places to make some other purchases (I'm thinking jewelry -- but nothing fancy) while I wait to make it more likely that I get a call, or should I just sit tight?

Buy random jewelry to pass the time? Don't think I'd vote for that. I definitely wouldn't spend the difference between going grey market.

I am not big on supporting the idea of buying things that I don't actually want to get the watch that I ultimately want. You may as well go grey IMO, you'll get it right away rather than spend more and keep waiting, time is money too!

I suggest go see lots of ADs, just talk to all of them, you never know what they have!

I bought my sub no date without even actively looking for it, just stumbled into it, I had the black bezel GMT and Sub no date to choose back then (about 2 years ago).

Today, I stumbled into a TT SkyD Black dial, which I have been lusting over, whilst traveling on business in another side of the country.

Again, you never know! Just my two cents~ best of luck!

Let us know how it goes!

6-12 months of enjoyment has value to me. I went with unworn / stickered from a reseller. For the subs (other than LV) the premium is so low it's a no brainer.

Good point — thinking I may pull the trigger on a No Date if that second AD doesn’t have anything by the end of the month.

That won’t help.

But buy 2 precious metal models and that would help.

Sit tight. Unless there is something you or your SO like.

Just wait if I were you. I personally don’t play these games and would rather go grey.
