Icon20 My watch journey

Working on my old laptop I find some photos of my early years of watch collector.

I will post all the photos and share how my collection evolved from the first shots are from around 2012

I start with a casio Edifice solar, then victorinox Bulova and edox (big fan of edox in my early years)

Then the second shot you can see my taste change a lot, you can see some Oris, edox, tag heuer... No more victorinox, casio, Bulova or vostok.

The third one you can see finally I move to a more serious watches... Yo can see the Submariner Lv, two omega seamaster, tag heuer, edox, the Cartier belong to my wife

And the last one is the actual state of the collection

The grial Daytona 116500Ln, Submariner Lv a.k.a hulk, GMT master two BLNR a.k.a Batman on jubilee

What a journey my friends... Super happy to see how my taste and collection change I hope you like the post

Happens to many of us. Start in one direction and as you become a WIS, move into other brands as knowledge/tastes in horology expands.

Typically, this also means more expensive watches as well!

Very nice state of your current collection!

I think many of us have had similar progressions.
I remember when all I had was Citizens and a Movado.
Then came TAG, Breitling, Omega etc.
Your trio is perfect!

It seems to me as if you enjoyed a wide variety of watches, styles and brands, at completely different price points. That's the way to do it, imo. As you mature your tastes and knowledge, your collection evolves with you. It's all about enjoying the journey.

Excellent trio and a great place to land... for now. I've been on a similar path and can relate.

Enjoy them for sure.

What happened to the hulk? Looks all scratched up like you fell off a bike.
