Datejust Good Replica or the Real Deal?
Good day all,
I've my eye on a few watches and one of them is this gold Datejust 38mm, and I'm still a complete newb in spotting replicas on pictures. All help and knowledge is appreciated! https://imgur.com/KamaTG4 https://imgur.com/Vo3Lrfd https://imgur.com/NRgFfiD |

There are many reputable places for you to find a legitimate watch. Davidsw, crown & caliber, etc. You should feel confident with your first purchase.

It’s better for you to study the pictures you have and a real Rolex. If you’re genuinely interested in horology it will be time well invested. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

You are absolutely right. I'm trying my best to learn as much, and am trying to find books that can help me with it. But will indeed start with real vs replica photos.

You can find many good YouTube videos and websites aimed at helping one spot them. We just don’t discuss fakes here.

Don’t worry about how people know as much as you should walk away as quickly as possible.
There are some really good websites that have good information. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hahah thanks all! What just boggles my mind is that the seller wants to meet at RSC NY to verify... I don’t get it, what is his angle here? Rob me at Rolex??
Also learned a lot already, and this thing looks like a dollarstore ripoff to me now.. And exactly as Nik pointed out, there is no 38mm Datejust. God I feel stupid. |
