Exactly my opinion. Regardless of style and likes, (TT is not for me but they are beautiful watches and more power to people that like them), a NEW Rolex purchased from an AD is going to be around 30% more money then the SS version. Right now, people just can't afford it. If you're talking used or from a Grey dealer, that's a completely different story, but I think SS will WAY out sell TT this year from ADs. |

I like both the TT and SS. Just depends on the watch. The Turn O Graph looks best hands down in the TT. The Blue TT Sub is one of the most sought after watches in the Rolex World, look at the prices of the TT GMT Vs. the TT Blue Sub. Subs seem to always be 1K more at least. The only real down one is the TT Daytona, I think in time this will will turn a round just as fashions change. That being said, it is now about ten years since the last time TT watches from any company could be call "hot". The market has changed.

My personal preference is SS, white gold or platinum, that's due to the fact that I dont like gold (I find the yellow just ghastly). But I guess it's each to his own.

Yellow gold is becoming an outdated style, in my honest opinion.

"definitely out sells" and "definitely more popular" hyperbolic conjecture IMHO

I like both!! An all steel model though is more suitable for everyday tasks and doesn't scream it is a Rolex as much (well the GMT-IIc does a bit). Still i wouldn't mind a blue Sub at all!!

Do you people who post such dribble ever READ the questions asked or just feel compelled to vomit out an opinion on what ever you want regardless of what the question is?

Could it be that many other people have the same issue as myself, hence less sales? |

I reckon that the SS sports models probably easily outsell the TT versions - certainly the Subs, but the DJs seem more popular in TT .

Do you think Rolex sells more SS or TT models? Where do you read into this that asks what YOUR opinion is as to what YOUR preferences are. If you have information that would be useful in answering the question, great..but if not, your dislike of YG or TT or what ever you posted doesn't help answer the OP or enlighten the forum, only add to you post total. Sorry if I am being harsh but this seens to be a growing issue and I have felt the need to say something for a while. Didn't mean to hijack the Op's thread.

david, i think you are being overly harsh... when have you ever seen a thread on track for long? if its not going off at a tangent it gets hijacked soon after... but thats what makes this place what it is... i love it...
also i think you need to appreciate that english is not always the first language of some of the forum members here... including me... the way someone reads a post can differ... have a good day...

Who would have thunk that talking about politics would be safer than discussing the world shattering topic of which sells better TT or SS. Finally, ask an unanswerable question, expect answers loaded with opinions.

Jeannie, who not only likes her TT, but wonders why everyone who doesn't feels compelled to say so since that wasn't actually the original question (as has been pointed out) I'm just sayin'... |
