In ADs, (not talking about used or gray dealers, but NEW Rolexs from ADs only) ... ...

TT = Cost more then SS

VERY bad economy, people just don't have as much money to spend. THEREFORE =

IMHO, SS will outsell TT this year.

End of opinion question answered good night and good luck.

I think the TT GMT IIc is one of the prettiest TT's out there. Not sure if I would wear one. I prefer SS.

Yep, 10th Anniversary and she is all cozy and under wraps for the winter in my garage. One of 1700 with Pontiac 400 and factory 4sp. 40k for miles. had a bunch of pictures in a post a while back if you look. She's a beauty and thanks.

Hi Harvey,

Not intending to be harsh my friend but in fact the opposite. I believe it's the lack of etiquette among some posters who are to harsh. Look, I have no issues with a post going off topic. People do this all the time and I am fine with it. It's all the negative comments some people like to throw out that wears thin after a while. I also understand that there are many non English as a first language members here who could believe a post might be asking something different and answer as such. No issues there either.

My main gripe boils down to those who like to offer up their negative opinions on any subject just because they can. I was taught "If you can't say anything nice, say nothing." Why post "I think YG is ugly" when many members have a YG watch? It's rude and offensive. I don't have an issue with giving an opinion if asked in a post such as "What does everyone think of YG", and you don't like it, show a little tact and give a response like," I prefer X or Y and not be rude in your reply.

That's all, enough said.

I'll have a look and see if I can find them, at the risk of going of topic and getting into trouble I was a big Pontiac fan a few years ago, 10th T/A are rare here in the UK but the guy that used to do the yearly inspections on mine had one, I have had a 68 Firebird, 70 Le Mans, 71 Formula 400, 2 79 T/A's, an 81 Turbo T/A and the last one I owned was an 87 T/A but then I saw the light and changed to Vette's and Camaro's

A gratuitous Rolex shot for those who I have offended by going off topic

It depends, I think; for first time Rolex owners, I think SS outsells TT and solid gold simply because they're cheaper to buy. First time owners typically have less money than someone who has 10 Rolexes. And, it seems to me, that people on TRF like tool watches. For them, they're going to prefer SS over TT because tool watches shouldn't be blingy. But when you're buying for beauty and eye-candy, TT and solid gold will beat SS any day.

My first Rolex was a TT DateJust and later a YG Daytona with a crocodile strap. Bought another TT DateJust before going all SS with the three I have now. Only other one I would like at the moment is a WG Meteorite Daytona since I now favor only the white metal models.

I'm not so sure that S/S outsells TT at all. As someone has pointed out, a significant number of women buy TT models so many people who claim that S/S has superior sales have failed to account for this market. Even if S/S does outsell TT, I don't think it's by a very wide margin.

At the end of the day though, it's all speculation and only Rolex knows for sure.

only TT for me is the Bluesy.
TT Daytona with slate dial is a close contender. Others not for me but maybe when I get older....

Speaking for myself. . .

I absolutely hate the look of gold on me as a heterosexual male. To me, gold looks very feminine on male, and it's just not appealing to me. Hell, even when I had my wife's wedding ring made, I had it done in platinum. I'm not a fan of gold coloring at all.

My newest Rollie is 116234. I have no problem with WG, but YG looks like something some old Jewish woman would wear, or an old dude in his late '60s. It says too much for nothing.

I'm not in to TT myself, although I admit, some of those watches are fantastic! (My favorite TT is the Rolosar(sp?), the TT Datejust with the white face and red second hand and date. If they made that in 40m and threw a set of crown guards on that thing.... I'd probably own one!).

I don't like them, some people do... I respect those people with other opinions/likes and so should everyon else... let's move on.

I wear my YG DD, TT GMTIIc, TT Blue Sub, TT DJ, SS Daytona, SS Subs and I like them all.

I just though I'd reply to your post just in case I don't get another chance.
