Unpolished Rolex 1680?

The watch is said to be unpolished and dial original. How would you think? Thanks

To me it looks a little too perfect when it comes to the lugs...they might have been laser redone but I am no expert...here is a link for you to compare:

I would say that the case has been re-finished in an interesting way. The brushed finish on the top of the lugs doesn't look original to me, and of course you can judge for yourself how likely it is that the chamfers and tops of the lugs are so pristine when the sides of the watch are beat to hell.

I have no problem with refinished cases, but I do think that sellers should be honest about it.

That’s what I felt as well...

it's been polished in the past, THEN touched up to try and look unpolished.

there is no question that this watch has been refinished, and likely more than once, and so has the bracelet.

Sides of case wear doesn’t match recut chamfers and satin finish on top of lugs. Lug holes too close to chamfer and some halo effect as further polishing evidence.

As an amateur, it’s the lugholes that give the game away.

It's been re-done. And used as a hammer.

Why re-cut the chamfers so obviously but not polish the case sides? I don't mind a spruced-up case as long as it's declared, but this is neither fish nor fowl...

Yes, it's a mis match
