Description: 1983 Rolex Sea-Dweller Matte Dial. This 1983 “666” Sea-Dweller is a unique piece that sits between the transational period in the early 80’s as Rolex was transitioning the 1665 reference SD to the 16660. The Matte dial ties this to the vintage matte dials of the previous 2 decades and yet the sapphire crystal and modern case ties it to the modern era of Rolex. These 16660 variations are quite rare and this specimen is one that serves as a prime collector example
