Are the Super Jubilee Bracelets Subject to "Stretch"?

This might be too soon to tell, but has anyone experience any stretching with the new bracelets that have solid links?

the new new Super Jubilees will not stretch.........

Well, OK, maybe they will after a few decades, but it's going to be a pretty abused bracelet...... I think it more likely that the link pins will wear out first..

Thanks Tools (Larry). Is the same true for the solid link President bracelet? Or did those always have solid links?

And you said "new new" - was that a typo, or are there two kinds of super jubilees?

The solid link President Bracelet is now solid, whereas those a decade or so ago were hollow with sides added to appear solid; the early ones stretch badly.... The new ones also stretch, although not as readily. The President stretches because it is solid 18k gold and, as such, the parts deform more readily than SS or Platinum.'

"new new" was a typo typo..

As such, wouldn't the TT and 18K gold Jubilee bracelets also stretch somewhat too then?

Yes.........and they do... !

Also, the TT Oysters can stretch quite a bit because the SS pins that go through the gold center links are much stronger, and so the relatively softer gold centers deform, and in extreme cases, actually begin to tear at the outside edges from the side-load..

Usually this stretching is caused by wearing the bracelet too loose, and not keeping the grit clean from between the moving parts.

Another reason to regularly clean your watch.
