I own the SS Daytona-C black and the WG Daytona OF. Very different feel, but both beautiful. If money was a consideration, I'd keep only the SS version, but if not, I'd definitely opt for the 116519. The dial and ceramic bezel combo is mesmerizing and stunning, and then there's the feel/weight/idea of white gold. Very special watch, and best-looking combo of any modern Daytona, IMHO.

If someone owns both, and is a little nutty like many of us, what you could do is swap the dials if you want the bracelet look with the WG dial. That would be the only way to really get this look. (Borrowed photo from a fellow on IG who sourced a loose WG dial and swapped it with an SS version.)
That looks freaking awesome!

That silver dial, bracelet combo looks sublime! Never seen that rendered, but was what i was hoping would be on the Rolex new watch list in WG. But ended up pulling the trigger on the 116519 and very happy.

Not entirely true. Anybody who's into watches will know that only PM Rolexes come on the OF. Also, Rolex white gold, which is not the same as regular white gold, has a different luster to stainless steel. It's subtle, but side by side the white gold definitely has a different feel. It's that under-the-radar specialness of white gold that's a big part of the appeal.

I love the SS Daytona-C black dial, but the white gold 116519 is next level.

Would go for the white gold daytona silver dial with oysterflex (116519ln).

That WG Daytona has IMO the best Daytona dial overall in modern selection now on white metal (I like the emerald green also on the YG)......but you have to be able to accept the oysterflex rubber strap or move on to the 116509 without the ceramic bezel.

I like the mods mentioned earlier but prefer not to mod watches beyond strap/bracelet changes. Hopefully Rolex considers this dial with cerachrom in the future.

Can you put a WG bracelet on the 116519?

No. Rolex designed it differently at the lugs.

My current collection : white + black daytona 116500ln, rg daytona 116515ln, hulk, pepsi, batman, sd4k, deepsea blue, vintage datejust.

May I ask what the purpose of your collection is?

Are you only buying pieces that have the greatest chance of appreciating? All SS models so that’s what it looks like. If so, I would say there’s so sense in spending another $20k to get the same look you could by adding a rubber B or Everest strap.

Plus, the white gold is much less likely to increase in value given today’s trend. But who really knows.

If you can afford it and just enjoy having a precious metal piece, you could say that already having 1 SS Daytona why not add the WG piece.

How does the rubber B strap compare to the Oysterflex? How is the install? I’ve been tempted to give it a try, but I’m concerned about damaging my watch by doing the strap change. Too many horror stories here on TRF.

Rubberb is easier to install, its harder to pull out an oysterflex. For the quality i think oysterflex is better.
