Would you make this trade? AP Royal Oak Offshore Rose Gold

Hi all, I'm not too terribly knowledgeable in the AP world and would likely get this piece to trade it into something else so I'd like to be in it "good". Original owner is offering up this 25940OK.OO.D002CA.01.A Royal Oak Offshore in Rose Gold. It is a full set with box and papers. Last service was stated to be in 2015 at same AD as original purchase. Owner reports watch being a 2011 model. Trade value on the watch would be roughly $24-$25k. Am I in too deep at that price point? Based on a few searches this seems to be retail on this watch. Any thoughts from more sage AP folks would be greatly appreciated! Hope you all are well and staying safe . . .

At that price I would be expecting a super clean example.
The info and pics clearly show it will need a service, new bezel and polish (and there are some deep scratches/dinks from the pics.

I would pass, the rubber bezel and pushers deteriorate by time and at that price point you can find better options.

To give you an idea, I sold my one of these 4-5 years ago - I sold it trade (Watchfinder) to the highest bidder for £18500. I would say that imo the watch isn’t as hot now as it was but I say that because I believe that the demand right now is greater for the 44mm case size and the gold watches on offer in the 44mm range are all stunning. I had mine from new when rrp was £40,000 but 20% discount was not unusual and some people were claiming that they could get 30% discount.

When I sold mine it was in perfect condition, it had just had the bezel replaced 1 month prior & a full service at AP. At the time of selling it was also only 6 years old and the one you’ve been offered is 9 years old. Also bear in mind that if you’re basing the 9yr age because the guarantee/paperwork is dealer stamped (not boutique) then I’d consider that the watch is quite a bit older. I say this because the dealers didn’t always stamp the paperwork when you bought the watch so there’s some ‘flexibility’. AP tightened up on this in the last 6/7 years and this never happens now because a new watch is registered on APs website under the buyers profile as soon as it’s bought. So compare my like new 6 year old watch at £18500 (22000$) with your 9 year old watch that looks like it’s seen a tour in Afghanistan. I’d pass at that price but probably take it at £14/15k.

If you're trying to make money on it, I'd say you need to be in less than $19k; pretty sure the new bezel alone (rubber over gold) will be more than $2k with service.
