My Exp II needs to be polished. Anyone know a good location in Vancouver, BC where this can be done promptly?

you can get it polished at any local AD close to you...But if you want it to be polished directly by Rolex..i think Rolex Toronto will be the one closest:

Do a search at www.rolex.com and phone the local Vancouver AD's to find out which one has a certified Rolex service tech qualified to polish your Exp II.

Rolex Canada located in Toronto can do it but do you really want to ship it here and have to wait weeks on end to have it completed, Toronto is far from being one of the closest, i would guess that Rolex of Beverly Hills is much closer.

Brinkhaus has the only Rolex certified tech in Western Canada, working in-house. So... maybe stop in there.

There are two very good places to go in Vancouver:

1. Otto Freidl - located in the basement level of the Hotel Vancouver, their techs are great and they use to be an authorized Rolex service center

2. Time and Gold - Located at 565 W. Georgia St. Great techs and very friendly.

I agree on both but in particular the first for your Rolex one of their tech's

is Rolex trained.

depends on the watch nick...ss..TT..YG.. different prices..but i think it starts at $550? maybe around that price up....

Yes, $200 sounds like a fairly reasonable price for the service.

Especially when you consider their Rolex watchmaker has the highest level of certification possible in both Rolex and Patek.

Personally I wouldn't let somebody who was not currently "authorized" touch my things.

That is pure BS. I would never shop there again. I had a local dealer down in California offer to polish my watch for free and I didn't even buy it from him. It costs the dealer nothing to polish your watch, they charge you to punish/"incentivize" you to buy from them in the future. That kind of business practice insures I will never buy from a store like that.

I'm pretty sure he didn't mean take a cloth to it with some formula and shine it up. That wouldn't be worth $20 let alone $200

More like actually scraping some metal off to eliminate any scratches to make it look brand spanking new. It's an (obviously) delicate process that takes time

Brinkhaus had a wait of a week+; I was speaking with them last week.
I've had my 16014 spot polished by The German Watchmaker for free while it was in for a mainspring... Took a few marks out of the acrylic and lugs. Only good things to say about him.

Norbert Aka the german watch maker is an excellent watch tech but he sends out his watches to do any serious polishing.
