This swap works better for both IMO

PCLs on Hulk and brushed on Batman.

The lenghts to which some people go... Looks good but why?

Also, what on earth are you wearing, sir? Is that a jacket, of sorts?

Cheers

Why? Because I have both and wanted to change it up.

Wearing? A rain jacket. My go to...when it’s raining.

Pretty cool. I actually like those PCLs on the Hulk.

I mean, it's all personal taste but I think the GMT reads as slightly dressier, so the PCLs make more sense (to me at least).

GMT's should be on a jubilee, though (imho)

Yeah, the “flash” of the PCLs seem to work with the flashier green dial of the hulk. I was surprised that it looked better than the brush.

Of course, the brushed glidelock on the Batman has been done many times before but haven’t seen the PCLs on the hulk.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

None taken. It was raining all week that week, which I welcome to escape the heat.

The only thing I didn’t understand was your comment about “the lengths people go to” - I have had both of these watches for some time and most certainly didn’t buy them for the bracelet switch (if that is what you meant).

The bracelets just happened to be interchangeable on two models I own. Def don’t work with my 16800.

What "lengths"? It probably took the Op five minutes to do the switch. And why? Well, why not? If something looks good one way, and also looks good another way, why wouldn't you try both ways?

Would you avoid wearing a shirt with a certain pair of trousers just because those trousers already look good with a different shirt?

Some folks seem to have this idea that a Rolex is this flawless, ideal thing, and changing it in any way is somehow wrong. The entire point of a separate bracelet connected by springbars is to remove it. It's literally designed to be easily taken off.

I don't like PCL's at all, and definitely not on a submariner.

Okay. It is entirely possible I chose the wrong words. I have changed bracelets myself, so I have a general idea how long that takes. I will rest my case as I'm realizing I can't really explain why it struck me as funny that OP did this to make in effect what is generally conceived as the "toolier" watch appear less so and the supposedly "dressier" one look more toolish, i.e. making the two watches get even closer in looks rather than maintaining their respective distinguishing features.

If that doesn't make sense to you, please disregard.

Cheers
Marc

Better for BLNR, worse for SubC. Brushed looks better on everything (including Daytona).

However, since that is not possible for you (unless you buy a new bracelet), the cosmopolitan watch makes 100% more sense with PCLs. SubC has no business rocking the same. I don’t agree with it on Smurf either. However, it can be argued that WG is a show piece, not really intended for utilitarian purposes. In which case, I get it, but do not like it.

My opinion, switch back! Both prices are awesome!

Honestly I like the PCLs more on the Batman after seeing them on the hulk. Hulk seems more tool watch but honestly, both are multi thousand dollar luxury watches with the same robustness (minus the water rating on the GmT but irrelevant) so PCL vs Brushed is a random move, both look equally as good on either piece just different to the beholder.

Brushed would probably look good for BLNR too, PCL in Hulk is a different story

I think both look better with brushed.

I feel like PCLs belong on PM only. Steel just looks better brushed to me. Plus it helps for people who like "stealth watches" to have a small extra feature like PCLs in addition to just a dial color change.

I had both watches - and did the same. There's a caveat in doing this: Putting the brushed bracelet onto the BLNR is quite difficult on one end and one part of the spring bar. At least, several users reported the same in 2015-2016.
