Incoming - new motorcycle
Wasn’t in the market for another bike but this happened to catch my attention. Honda CRF1000 Africa Twin Adventure Sports (bit of a mouthful)
Bought it mid lockdown / discounted as an unregistered 2019 NOS model / 0% finance. Too good to pass up ;.) The model had recently undergone a face lift & increase from 1000 to 1100 cc but the older model looks better/ less gizmos/ £000’s cheaper. Had to wait 7 weeks to get it delivered - arrived last night around 7pm The suns beating down but unfortunately got 2 days left of my on call shift so need to wait till mid week before getting my first run out |

Two Africa Twins and a 660 Tenere? I'm so jealous. I was all set to buy a new AT in the Spring of 2016 but then the earthquake hit Japan and they were delayed, so I went in another direction. It's an awesome bike. Enjoy the heck out of it!

Is yours the DCT version? Excuse my ignorance as I am not familiar with the bikes but do understand that the MY 2019 were offered with DCT.
I would love to pick one up but the wife would not be happy. I hope you enjoy it. |

It’s the non DCT version. Prefer the manual clutch & gears. I’ve heard great things about the DCT but personally an automatic bike just seems wrong to me |

Sweet ride, congrats! I also will never buy a clutch-less bike no matter which type; clutching and shifting are a big part of the fun in motorcycling to me.

As someone who buys dual clutch cars I have to agree. With a motorcycle, for me anyways, the use of the clutch feels so damn natural I wouldn’t be able to pass on that. Probably a function of me growing up on dirt bikes and quads.
