Lucky at Schiphol Airport

I was flying through Schiphol airport and found two beautiful watches for my kids.

A Black Bay 58 in blue and a Black Bay GMT.
Both watches came with straps and were prices below retail as I didn’t have to pay tax.

How old are your kids? Are they into their watches? Hopefully they appreciate what they are being given & treasure them. I know I wouldn't have when I was a kid.

I'd have loved to be given a special peace from my father, hope they keep them forever.

Remain blessed.

Pim, I travel through Schiphol about 20 times a year normally but this was the second time I bought watches here. Previously bought a datejust 41 when they were quit easy to get !

Well done!

One of the few Schiphol AD purchases that didn’t go straight to the HK gray market...

Really nice gift!

I think gifts are better and more fun than buying something yourself. The thought (process) behind it, the generosity (not even looking at the price) and the love is so beautiful.

How do you decide which kid gets which watch?

Airports are always a big unknown. Usually no luck, but every once in a while, jackpot! So far for me, a white dial SS Sky-Dweller and a Submariner. No strings attached, no bundles, no games, no nonsense.

Never pass up an airport AD. And always ask for what you want. My Sky-Dweller had arrived 15 minutes earlier and the Sub was in a drawer.

Happy hunting!

Thank You Sir!

The kids have to wait a few more years until they are 18. I plan to give it to them when they start College. The Rolex will be due when they get their degrees (Please God)
