Rubber VS Nylon

It seems like rubber straps get a fair amount of love and nylon typically gets less. Why? I know Rolex has current references on rubber. Honestly the material seems modern and cheap to me.

Nylon seems to have some history and is extremely comfortable. Did Rolex ever sell a watch on Nylon?

Of course we will all do as we please.

Rolex left the nylon to Tudor right? Tudor do possibly the best nylon straps too, they sure do look nice.

NATO straps are great on many timepieces. My fave example here is the Heuer Monaco Gulf.

Rolex bracelets are so good it is sometimes hard to take them off for rubber/NATO straps. Tudor does it well but Omega really has it down when it comes to NATO's. I own many of each and it is always fun to play around and change them out.

That works!

NATO looks great on Rolex divers, and of course, Sean Connery sported his famous Sub on NATO. I do think its interesting, however, that at least when I think about NATOs on divers, Omega comes to mind more often than Rolex. Maybe it is the Daniel Craig-era effect? Or maybe its because Rolex bracelets are so excellent and iconic in their own right? At any rate, the nylon on yours looks great...wear it in good health.
