READ THESE RULES CAREFULLY:

1. Watch #1 must be a Rolex.
2. Watch #2 must be an Omega.
3. Watch #3 must be a Patek.
4. Watch #4 must be a Lange.
5. Watch #5 is a WILD CARD. It can be any watch under $20,000 but it can’t be a Rolex, Omega, Patek or Lange. It can be VC, Breitling, Zenith, Seiko, or whatever.
I'm not sophisticated enough to choose all of those brands. Not to fond of any of them other than Rolex.

So I guess I'll go with:

1. 116506
5. Ball Roadmaster M Archangel

And call it a day.

Happy to give my fantasy 5 for someone else's fantasy rules

1. Rolex GMT-Master II, Ref. 126710

2. Omega Speedmaster Ref. 2998-6

3. Patek Philippe Grand Complications Ref. 5004R, "Split Second" Chronograph

4. A. Lange & Sohne Datograph, Ref. (39mm in platinum w/ platinum bracelet, early reference)

5. 1940s Breitling Chronomat Ref. 801 (first or second rarest Breitling- still up for debate as to which, but it should fit below the $20K budget... for now)

Side note: these are actually my favorite watches, except that I would sell the ALS and the Speedy and swap them (and a lot of cash) for a vintage Daytona and JLC Deep Sea Alarm reissue.

The parameters don't' fit my ultimate fantastic five

My fantastic five (at the moment) would be Rolex, Journe, Patek, Lange, and a wild card like voutilainen. lol
Fair enough. If you start that thread, I promise to browse the FPJ offerings and share my opinion.

Well done. Stunning choices and you get an “A” for trying to follow the rules.

1. Watch #1 must be a Rolex ~ Paul Newman’s, Paul Newman Daytona
2. Watch #2 must be an Omega ~ the lost Speedmaster of Buzz Aldrin (I don’t think Neil Armstrong’s actually went onto the moon and stayed in the shuttle)
3. Watch #3 must be a Patek. ~ Salmon Dial Patek 5004
4. Watch #4 must be a Lange. ~ Lange 1 in Steel
5. Watch #5 is a WILD CARD ~ Tudor Black Bay 58 Navy Blue (because I’d need a watch that I could actually wear out of the house! )
I was just going to say, what about a watch you would actually wear!! 5 isn't so much of a WildCard, but a flavour of the day - Airking would be a really awesome consideration. It's totally underrated. Find one to see in the metal - its weight and class is lost in images.

Never seen one in the metal but picking that would break the rules as you’re not allowed a Rolex for pick 5

If I was then my Explorer 1 would be the pick to wear every day

1. Watch #1 must be a Rolex. - Daytona 116500LN White
2. Watch #2 must be an Omega. - Omega Dark Side of the Moon (Original)
3. Watch #3 must be a Patek. - 5168G Blue
4. Watch #4 must be a Lange. - Lange 1815 Chronograph White Gold Black Dial

With the exception of the Omega, I've been working towards this collection (plus a DD40 at some point) and have all but that 5168G locked down! Fun thread OP.
