Why not RG DD with olive dial since you are keen on RG anyways?

Daytona
Prefer a more casual look. I’ll almost certainly be looking to add a blue or olive wg dd when I’m a bit older as my daly |

Daytona (have to say that, as that's what I went for - though WG rather than RG). The bracelet is very comfortable and the weight is enough to feel like it's not a toy without being heavy enough to get annoying. And the lack of a heavy gold bracelet makes it casual luxury rather than opulence.
If I were a couple of decades older then a DD40 is very classic and if you like the olive, you won't find it on a Daytona. Quote:
Also with the Daytona I'm not going to scratch or scuff the bezel so I won't be annoyed with myself for not taking quite enough care of it after five years use. |

Thank you all for chiming in! I went and tried on both watches today and the choice was very clear. The DD felt and looked much better on the wrist. The Daytona on Oyster Flex was nice too but the presidential bracelet is just something else. Here are some quick pics.

Great choice, looks excellent. I was with someone yesterday who was also wearing that same DD40 WG fluted olive dial and it looked amazing. Enjoy yours!

Have had both, dd in landslide. That OF Combo is unremarkable to my eyes. I pick the wg DD over ANY OF Daytona actually

You know, I'm probably the wrong guy to ask. I'm just no good with choices.
EDIT: Just saw you picked up the DD. A most excellent choice...congrats! |

The Day Date. Less dials. Less buttons. And no rubber strap.
