AD Discount

I am looking to purchase a YM 37mm TT rose gold watch for my wife and was interested in what kind of discount I could expect from an AD? I have always purchased SS sports models and discounts have been slim.

Welcome to the forum. Have you tried calling your AD and ask them? The YM still seems to be popular and a discount may be hard to find.

should be able to get something or at least tax if you pay cash.

Thank you for the welcome. I have spoken to the AD that I have a bought from previously. Was offered a discount, but was unsure what to expect with a YM.

DavidSW has one new with stickers for about 10% off. So I’d ask for that off. How they respond is up to them, and you have other options.

I think it depends on what is more important, the final price or continuing your purchase history. If the price is most important than you could shop this and find an AD that will give you a good price. I would definitely look for a independent jeweler and not any of the chain stores. The chain stores don't give much of a discount in my experience.

But if you want to buy it from your AD then there's not much sense in asking around. I would try for 15% and see what they say. Assuming they say no then go back after a few days and offer 10%. But I think their willingness to discount it will depend on if they have it in stock and how long it's been sitting. Good luck and post pics once you get it! A 37mm TT on a lady should be a really good match.

10% minimum. See if your AD will ship out of state to save you on tax, mine does, and its saved me thousands.
