Something waiting for me at home...

Just got a text from the GF waiting at home. USPS just delivered something to the house, registered mail insured.

Hmmmm...how much longer will I be in the office? Anyone care to bet??

It's her wedding present, and she's beckoning me. How long shall I make her suffer?

Well, considering that once you are married= you will suffer till the day you die, I'd make her wait. No I'm just kidding!!!
I guess it depends on the gift and whether you plan on giving her more presents.

It's a mid-size DJ, white roman dial. Or at least it better be, or I'll be looking to send the seller to wait for me at Jonathan Vilma's NYC condo.

That's why I told her that she had to wait till I got home. This will be my fourth, and I've never actually been there for any of the deliveries.

Watches and children.

The 31mm is a decent size for a Datejust.
I'm considering a 178274 with pink/Roman dial, jubilee bracelet, and WG fluted bezel for mine.

Without further ado...

She was pretty excited. But not as excited as I was. It's really, really cool getting a new Rolex--even if it's going on someone else's wrist. But, it is a pretty sexy wrist!!

I can never get tired of these threads and seeing that ugly brown packaging.....

....then when you open it.....there's a beautiful Rolex box.....with a gorgeous Rolex in it...

Congrats to her and you of the purchase.

I think the size is perfect, but it looks smaller than the newer style midsize (this one is a D) we tried on at the AD last week. It's really a perfect size for her for a daily wearer. It's her first nice watch, and I have to say that if she's half as happy about it as I am, then she's silly.

Of course, she hasn't stopped staring at her engagement ring for the last month...I think the ring will hold her attention longer than the watch will. But we're both pretty stoked!!
