Nah....my 57 OD is still at the watchmakers.

The clasp on the original braclet has gone and I need a couple of extra links put in anyway. The problem is he's having real trouble sourcing original parts. One similar bracelet in mint condition went for £1000 on ebay!!!!

I figured I could put it on a nice black leather strap and get a vintage Rolex clasp for it. We just don't see too many of them this side of the Atlantic!

Figured you'd be the guy ITK.

I can't tell you what bracelet ref it is but it is for a 1957 OD ref 6534 Cal. 1036.

Getting real hard to find parts for the cal now to service (hence why it's been with my watchmaker since last Feb.)

WOW
I thought I was going to have to send down
and intervention team to help you out as if you
went strictly Cartier you would have to be on some
kinda drugs with as much as you have learned and
grown to love Rolex over the past couple years.

Had me worried Steve

I just opened the forum and you were the first thread I read

You got me

Mother Nature is playing an April Fools on me right now... I'm looking out the window and the snow is coming down

It's April and I'm just above sealevel and it is coming down...

Guess I have to go out and produce as much carbon dioxide as possible to prevent the global cooling.
