www.goldwatchco.com
Is goldwatchco a legit site or is this a scam and they sell fake watches? Looking to buy but I read some horror stories about this place.

Rolex Watches from GWC
Bought 2 watches from them. Went into their office in Miami to pick up my 2nd. No issues at all and both watches check out in local AD.

Not sure which horror stories are you referring to but I did numerous buy/sell high dollar value transactions with Dennis from www.goldwatchco.com He is extremely reliable, straight forward and honest person. No issues whatsoever.

I posted based on my personal experience. It's up to you who to deal with.

Kingpower, seems like you really want to deal with them. Go for it.
You might not know what you are getting since the pics they send you are stolen from others (and they also photoshop and touch up the photos) but hey, life should be an adventure. |

Wow. I read the thread. I like how 'Sam' said the issue of stealing and touching up the photos was a 'simple mistake'. Yeah...an 'accident' if you will.
I wouldn't go near this company. Quote:

Promise
Does anybody on this forum WHO HAVE ACTUALLY BOUGHT FROM THEM have anything negative to say about them? I personally couldn't find anyone who has. I don't think any company is perfect and they definitely made a mistake with the pictures but I assure you the watches gotta be the real deal. Look at their ebay store and ebay feedback http://stores.ebay.com/GoldWatchCo

I've seen them on eBay. However, I cant comment one way or the other. I always look at eBay feedback and the amount of bids their watches are getting. If you pull up their profile and view their other watches for sale and no one is bidding on any of their watches. I would stay clear.

I just noticed this thread and thought I'd chime in.
I can say that I have bought/sold/traded almost six figures in watches with Dennis over the past year and every deal was perfect. I talk with him quite often and he's always helpful in sourcing watches as well as a great buyer. Dennis and Goldwatchco are very frequent traders on dealer networks such as Polygon, with a great reputation in the trade. Again, this is my first hand experience with them and I have no connection to the company outside of doing business with them on a dealer to dealer level. |

Most up up-front companies do NOT hide their ownership behind DomainsByProxy.com
GOLDWATCHCO.COM are registered through godaddy.com and have hidden thier identity. I am not saying they are a bad company, it is just odd. |

I recently dealt with goldwatchco and everything was smooth with no problems. If I decide to purchase another Rolex, they will be the first seller I go to.

If this thread is still active, I have dealt with Dennis and Goldwatchco twice and they are the absolute real deal... My watch was perfect when I got it, and when I sold it back to him a year later to trade up, I got 80% of my initial purchase price back.. Was a great deal to me as I hate scammers on CL and eBay... This company is wonderful

GoldWatchco
Okay, I got the process reversed. I bought the watch from them and then decided to look on this site.
Now that I bought a Submariner, how do i tell if it is authentic? He had over 605 feedback history, all positive on Ebay! I know, I'm a dumb A#&. The watch was listed as 2008 Mfg Date. The Serial number is M. What I found was that the M is definitely 2007 Mfg date? Help! |

Bought my Rolex Submariner from Dennis, no issues at all. Purchased it in September 2014 along with an Air-King for my brother. Both were brand new in the box with all paperwork and checked out at my local AD as well. I guess it's a hit or a miss when it comes to some things

I've done many deals with Gold Watch Co. and I'm surprised to see anything but positive reviews. Every single deal I've done with them has been flawless.

Agreed. but that is my personal experience, I'm sure you don't build a great reputation by swindling customers. Dennis was able to locate a v serial submariner still new in the box with tags. Sure I paid a bit more for it but I wanted that one as opposed to the newer ceramic subs. (Not to say they aren't nice I just couldn't afford a brand new one at the time). My cousin bought from them and I haven't heard anything negative. |

Dennis is a very legit seller and very responsive.
I have bought 1 watch, and done one trade with him. I wouldn't hesitate to do another. |

Dennis may be fine but.....
I will state outright that I haven't bought from them. However, I believe I have a great reason for not. I was pursuing a Rolex 214270 and they had an example that I enquired about. The asking price was 5999$ and I called to make sure they physically had the watch. They did and I told them I would purchase upon returning home, only to find that the price had mysteriously gone to 6999$. I didn't even bother calling, we knew why. Also, another concerning practice is that they list all their watches as having "all applicable Rolex paperwork, box and extras", but when I asked for clarification I was told it was referring to the box and paperwork provided by the firm. I'm sorry but that is shady....
