any fans of Ball out there?

I am lukewarm towards them. But a Ball AD near me is going out of business and has all their jewelery and watches at half off or more.

At these prices, I might have to get one.
if you're interested, Spiralz Studio in Brimingham Michigan

does anyone out there own one, and could give me some opinions about what you think of them?

even at half off, they're in the price range of a used omega, which is always a safe bet.

thanks!

I think it is a sweet watch - as long as you don't lick the tritium, you should be OK!

Stusrt, what are the Ball watches available at the store? If u want a rugged tool watch, go for the Hydrocarbon series with extreme cold weather endurance. If u need one which is versatile, u can look into the Engineer Master II or the Engineer II collection. If u prefer something with a little classic look, try the Trainmaster collection. For something basic, the Fireman series is worth looking into. If these watches are going at half prices or more, u will yourself for not getting one!

BTW, the Hydrocarbon series are some truly tough watches. An independent test reveals that they are as tough as claimed. Have a look here: http://watchtalkworld.proboards.com/...ay&thread=6464

Original what? I think Ball has quite a niche carved out, nothing I have ever seen resembles them.

I have two.
VERY happy with them!
I have gotten quite a few people on the boards
smokin deals as my friend is an AD...
If anyones looking let me know, Ill always help.

My Ball Nighttrain was what I wore hunting this past year.
I was sleeping in a cabin with quite a few people and if I woke
at night I wanted to easily and quickly be able to see the time.
I was very happy.... If only it had an alarm that would be idea.

Nothing to worry about regarding the tubes. I'm not a big fan though. Not in the mood to trash them again, if you care what I think you can search this section.

Love Ball. Lots of value in this brand - you get a lot for your dollar. My daily driver is an EM II moonphase. 40mm, Anti-shock, anti-magnetic, date, 100mm water resistant. The watch lights up like a Christmas tree at night - the lume is really something to behold. The moonphase is unique in that the moons have been fitted with the gas tubes so that the moons glow yellow. The numbers/hands glow green. Two color lume - great stuff.

Great underground brand. Flys under the radar. Lot to appreciate here. Half off or more? Ridiculous. Hands down, pick one up - you'll love it.

I have a ball divers watch that I wear when I'm hunting, fishing or working. It is tough sturdy and the Tubes are great in the dark. Highly reccomended for a tool or work.
