126610LN Submariner on Nato Strap

A 4 or 5 digit Submariner with a Nato strap is a special combo I enjoy seeing here on TRF. These 6 digits belong on the amazing ss bracelet they come on! But it’s a Submariner and I have a spring bar tool and a couple of 21mm straps so let’s see....

I’m thinking the new case shape works well and a nato with a bit of sheen for the ceramic bezel is

I think Nato is such an amazing invention.
I love the way the change the look of a watch and the Sub “new and 5 digits versions” are among those watches that shine on a nato.

Looks good as an alternative. I will always prefer it on a bracelet.

I love the Nato, a strap with a real purpose, to keep your watch safe from falling if one of the main pins fails. Looks great too!

Same here. I can do rubber straps but not nato.

This looks great on a nato. In my opinion the lugs are very conducive to this look. Is this crown & buckle supreme NATO?

If I ever get the call for a 124060, I will be wearing it on a NATO as a daily driver. My BLRO will be my weekend warrior at that point.

I like natos, but the new subs with the wider lugs and shiny/reflective bezels really don’t match the tool look/militaryish look of the NATO. I also have struggled with the extra thickness that the NATO strap adds under the case and of course the watch becomes less likely to slide under the sleeve easily and gets snagged up.

I only wear my five digit Sub on NATOs, I hate the original bracelet and I love changing the look of the watch easily with different straps. Having said that I would leave a newer Sub on the newer better bracelet. A Rolex bracelet is preferred but not so sacred that I’ll suffer for it.

Great thing about the SS SUB is it’s dressy to be on a bracelet/leather strap and rugged enough to be on rubber/nato.

Looks great - the slimmed down lugs work well with a Nato

Looks great! Ignore the haters, it's a tool watch after all.
Distressed leather would look great as well.

I am not a nato fan, but this sub version looks a lot better with thinner lugs.

I’ve been waiting to see a 12 series sub on a nato. I think it looks great! I sometimes use a nato on my explorer II. I love the functionality for surfing, camping and backpacking. Now I guess it’s time to get on a sub waitlist. Thanks for posting!

Cool comments above gents! I will go James Stacey ala Hodinkee and cut off the end piece for less material and bulk on wrist. For the most part it, the watch will live on the steel and see lots of saltwater.

I get the love and also can see how someone could dislike a nato. The SS bracelet is part of why I enjoy my Rolex collection.

Looking forward to any cool combos found, nato and rubber. Confirmation on Crown and Buckle straps

I’m a huge fan of the 11**** series on bracelet, but on a nato, the new 12 does seem to look slightly better.
