For a one and only, it's tough to beat a Sub Date but we all have our own tastes.

Following the recent changes to the Sub, my vote now goes to the Daytona. Day Date would be second (36mm).

No bias intended, it was more about my lack of knowledge on the maximum number of options for the poll

I will separate out the Explorer line with the Explorer 1 and the Explorer II and the Submariner line between the Submariner and the Submariner Date. I could obenly fit 10 so if you choice is not here, please write as a comment below. Voting ends 10/22.

I voted GMT

I picked the GMT Master II over the Sub - similar size, dial with the added functionality of the 24 hr hand. If I could only keep/wear one for life it would be my 16710. Can't wait for election season to end!!

There are reasons the GMT has almost a quarter of the votes right now (though that could change before the poll closes).

I see a lot of gmt on here because of function. I am in line to get the root beer, but help explain this to me. I travel a decent amount, but always enjoy changing my watch to the destination time on my flight, as well as use my phone for most accurate reliability. That is why I like the sub more, cleaner look, not the big numbers all the way through the bezel. It is the most iconic for a reason. I am getting the root beer to add a rose gold and love the look, I think hides the big bezel numbers the best, but outside of that I just don’t get the gmt popularity.

I've been through many of the SS professionals, and for me its these two.

If push came to shove. Id probably say 124060 for its classic styling and modern upgrades.

Others may have different reasons, but I fly a lot privately and do my own flight planning including enroute weather briefings, filing flight plans, checking temporary flight restrictions, and notices to airmen (NOTAMS), all in GMT. I'm also a radio ham operator and keep my transmission logs in GMT.

It's much easier to glance at my wrist for GMT than mentally adding 7 hours to local time (PDT) or 8 hours (PST).

With the 24 hour bezel set for the PDT 7 hour difference. It's 10:08 AM PDT and 1708 Zulu.

Exactly!! The OP puts in two versions of the Submariner and the Explorer (could have easily listed both version of those models on one line each, thus, leaving room in the poll for two additional models)but no.....

Maybe run other polls for the missing models, and then amalgamate the results?

This was a tough one, but ended up choosing Sub Date. Close second would be the DJ, followed by the GMT II. It’s amazing how many important and desirable designs Rolex has in its catalog; just enough difference for variety, but clear shared DNA.
