Sky dweller too big?

Hello! I’m in the market for a sky dweller but I was unsure about the size because of my 6.5 inch wrist. My sales associate had one she allowed me to try on so I could see if it was going to be too big. I loved the way the watch looked but wanted opinions. Thoughts? Too big??

Oh man, that watch is beautiful! But I’m sorry to say it does look too big. It’s possible it’s just the angle of the photo.

Full disclosure, it wasn’t fitted to my wrist so the strap was loose.

I do think so. If I was 6.5" wrist I'd happily rock a day date 36. Screaming deals on solid PM in that size.

My wrist is 7 1/8-1/4". I think I'm probably at the bottom end of folks that can wear it. Big timepiece... Excellent pics!

I don’t have the biggest wrists either. More flat then round and I love the fit on my wrist.

Hard to say in those pics. Strap not tightened and angle.

If you love it then who cares what we think. I’d love to have that piece.

Its quite big on your wrist and in my eyes its an ugly watch.

I know I am about to get burnt.

If you like it and can enjoy it then that's all that matters.

I really am torn between this and the chocolate dial with everose. If they still offered the brown alligator strap, it'd be easy-chocolate. I have a fixation on "things matching"... thus the black OF with the chocolate gives me pause. I guess I could have a custom alligator band made that works with the Rolex everose clasp...

It's significantly larger than I would ever consider wearing if I had your wrist size.

I you feel the lugs will still overhang your wrist after it was actually sized for you...then it’s probably too big.

From the pic...it looks to me like it would overhang.

Great looking piece though.

Two things to keep in mind regarding these photos.

• The Oysterflex isn’t sized so it gives off the impression the watch may be too big. Also, the cushions underneath are designed to to provide a gap between the owner’s wrist and bracelet to aid in airflow. Bracelet would never be fully flat against the wrist.
• Close up photos are not recommended in determining a watch’s size against someone’s wrist. I would take new photos from afar in a full body mirror. That is a very good indicator of how it fits against not only your wrist, but forearm, etc.

I have a 6.5 inch and rock a SS SkyD. It’s at the upper end of what I feel comfortable with, but I get many, many compliments on it. Looks normal on my arm, but in a close up photo it would look huge. I’d say 6.5 inch and up is the best size for a SkyD.

OP - I think you can definitely wear this. Just take new photos in a body mirror to give you a better idea. Ditch the long sleeve when doing so.

Beautiful watch but I do have to agree with others that it’s too big for your wrist.

Def looks like lugs def extend beyond your wrist even if you pulled back oysterflex. Hard to tell from just those

I have 6.5" flat wrist, I love the look and design of Sky Dweller very much, so if I have the chance to get it from the boutique, I definitely take it.

You already try it on and if you like it, take it, the only person that care is you not somebody else.

It does look like the lugs overhang so I would say too big for my tastes, but if you like it, it doesn't matter.

Is that a clock on your wrist? It will never fit right because the lugs are wider than your wrist.

Too big.

I have 7.5” wrists and felt it was too big for me and I wear a DJ2 a lot of the time. I thought the Skydweller shared the same case as my DJ2 until I tried one on and then realised how much bigger it is by comparison.

Shame, because it’s a great reference, but it’s simply too large.

This OP. Well said.

I love the SkyD but thought it would be way too big for my 6.75’’ wrist, until I tried on my friends recently. Now I’m sold, and have already bought one. Wear it in good health!

Is the watch comfortable on your wrist? Do you like it? If yes to both questions I don’t think the size matters. It looks a bit wide from the pictures, but not outrageously.
