Aqua Terra or Black Bay 58? (help)

Hello everyone, I need some collective brain power to help me towards a decision.

I have an Aqua Terra Goodplanet, the 38.5 mm version on the oem strap.

I have the opportunity to trade for a BB58 Blue on oem strap.

I love the AT for what it is and I find it attractive, but I don't wear it often. The titanium bracelet is $1700 and doesn't have micro-adjustments (my main gripe from my other previous AT).

I have been fully lusting for the blue BB58 since it was announced. It is what I wished for when the original 58 came out. It has its own technical merits and a Tudor bracelet is around $500 or there are options from strapcode for less.

Let's assume the financial outlay for each was similar when purchased and it's a straight swap. Full set each (minus mfr warranty for 2016 omega).

Would you do this? Would you swap Omega for Tudor? If you had the Tudor would you make the trade?

I really want to say AT. I like the movement and style better.

But I also want a timing bezel, I use it often. But I somehow is not into the 58 much. Maybe I don't found the 2 color being offered interesting. Don't get me wrong, they are nice looking. Maybe they are missing some spark?

Anyway, between the 2, I would say let the "bezel" decide. If you find yourself using a timing bezel often, then 58. otherwise, AT. :)

If you're not wearing the AT, I think that answers the question.

I agree with yessir above. If you are not wearing the AT then I would do the trade. Reading your post it sounds like you have made up your mind.

Make the trade. The AT is a great watch, but you’re not wearing it. The BB58 is a great watch and you want it. Sounds like a no brainer.

An update - While deliberating about the trade, I stopped by my AD to see what might have turned up in the pre-owned case and take a glance at the Tudor display.

We were chatting, I tried on a BB GMT (THICK) and when my normal SA came around he asked if I was looking for something specifically and I said the 58, but the blue one. He asks, "only the blue one?"
Sensing that he was fishing a bit I replied, "yes but I'd love to see either color in the flesh to get a sense for it"

So he goes to the back for a little bit and comes out with a brand new 58 (black), and tells me I can check it out, and if I like it, it's mine. "I told the owner you've bought here before and I want to take care of you" so I tried it on and after about 10 minutes of deep thought and my wife walking in and exclaiming, "I love it!" I pulled the trigger.

I sold the Aqua Terra and the rest is history.

Get both. I have the AT which I love, but I also have my eye on the BB58. I’d regret getting rid of the AT. I think the AT is a bit more dressy than the BB58, so you cover a lot of ground owning both. Just my two cents.....

Congratulations, the BB58 is a terrific all-rounder. I own both a BB58 and an AT8800 in blue and find they are different enough to have both in the collection. However I could live with just the BB58 if I had to - it is that good.
