My New Submariner... 126110LN

This was my first time going to an AD, only worked with the gray market prior to this (once). I walked in, talked to the manager, and he came out of the back with a 126110LN... couldn't say no. I can't believe I got it... compared the 14060m feels like a nice hefty piece of jewelry.

You must have a way with words. Any details on how that conversation went?

And big congrats to you. A classic watch.

Congrats! Picked mine up last week, loving it so far. Very similar yet still different from my 116618LB.

Thank you so much. Not too much of a conversationalist to be honest. I walked in and browsed the cases and inventory in the windows for a bit before the manager came up and introduced himself and asked if I was looking for anything particular. I told him I had been eyeballing a stainless steel watch, something sort of sporty and that would pop out (Explorer II maybe). He asked if I had any particular models in mind, I told him I was interested in the Explorer II and the Submariner no date. At first he said that they were all out and that they'd take my name. Then he went to the back to show me a 36mm yachtmaster among some other watches (just to try on), but apparently he talked to his manager (or someone else) and they pulled out the 126110LN. From there I just tried it on and talked about all the specifics of the watch and we did the deal.

He asked me if I had a Rolex before, I told him I had received one as a gift but never got one for myself, so this would essentially be my first one for myself. He said that given this was my first Rolex I was purchasing and that the Holidays are upcoming that they'd let me take it. He walked up to me as if he was hiding it so no one else in the store would be able to see it.

Nice! I believe I had a similar experience with the same AD! (Assuming it’s the one in San Jose) Walked out with a Sub after initially being told that they did not have any available. Congratulations!

Congrats, great story! Glad to hear some people still able to walk in and score a new Sub. Enjoy and wear it in good health.

Kudos to the AD for offering a new client the watch of his dreams.

A good story for those who fear gong to and AD and ask for an SS model. Everything is possible.
I agree with you on the jewelry feel if the new Rolex models, they simmer and glimmer line diamonds. Mainly due to to the sapphire crystal, the amazing steel used that even when brushed it still shine and lay but not least the cyclops which looks like a diamond drop.
